NEW! GUIDED TOURS FROM THE DACOTAH PRAIRIE MUSEUM! The DPM is offering complimentary guided tours in the month of June as we tentatively prepare to reopen to the public later this summer. Two different tours to choose from… Museum Exhibit Tour: Reserve a spot now for one of our guided exhibit tours in June. Tours will be led by Lora Schaunaman, Curator of Exhibits, and will include a detailed, informative and entertaining look at the Museum’s current exhibits. Recommended for ages 10-Adult. Children’s exhibit will remain closed for this tour. Hands-on activity stations will not be available for this tour. Tour will be approximately 45 minutes and will involve walking with some stairs/elevator use to the second floor. The Museum’s gift shop, The Mercantile, will be open during this time. Staff will assist visitors with product selection and purchasing. More details online. Historic Downtown Aberdeen Tour: Reserve a spot now for one of our guided downtown Main Street tours in June. Tours will be led by Sherri Rawstern, Curator of Education, and will include a detailed, informative and entertaining look at the historic buildings of downtown Aberdeen, SD. Each tour will feature a different part of Main Street. Recommended for all ages. Tour will be approximately 60 minutes and will involve walking outdoors with limited seating along Main Street available. Recommend bringing your own water as the day may be hot. More details online.
