Q: What is the SMAS? A: SMAS stands for superficial musculoaponeurotic system, which is the fascia (gristle layer) in the face that is continuous with the platysma muscle in the neck. The SMAS is the muscle layer that is tightened underneath the skin. Tension is placed on the SMAS to produce a lift so that there is no tension placed on the skin. This allows the incisions to heal very nicely and gives the face a complete natural looking rejuvenation. https://www.seattle-facelift.com/facelift_faq.php https://www.seattle-facelift.com Facelift Seattle 1280 Madison St, Seattle, WA 98104 (206) 624-9113 https://www.seattle-facelift.com/ https://goo.gl/maps/LihzHJczPq6BeTbw9 https://facelift-seattle.business.site https://www.google.com/maps?cid=5959499370157074098 https://www.google.com/search?q=Facelift+Seattle&kponly&kgmid=/g/11ghq_rgpp
