Loose or exposed nails can be often found on fascia boards, on gutter brackets, and cupolas. They should be hammered down and heads caulked if the particular area is critical and exposed nail head may cause water leakage. If the nail is loose and can be pulled out with your fingertips, caulk / patch the nail hole and re-nail the board in another spot.
