Some noteworthy trends to keep an eye on within the latest week's Chicagoland Residential Real Estate stats: 1. Year over year sale price increases are finally slowing a bit...though still increasing. This mirrors national trends. As you drill down further (not pictured), it's the city's downtown market which is dragging down the averages. The suburban home market is still on fire. 2. New listings showed a marked jump relative to YOY stats...the existing lack of supply is a big factor to price increases, and is most certainly a factor to the cooling price increase statistics.
