Do you brush first or floss before you brush? Those of us who prefer to brush before flossing argue that any toothpaste left behind after brushing will be forced deeper into the gum tissue by the pressure of the flossing string. Others of us insist that flossing first will loosen the plaque and food debris so that brushing and rinsing can more easily wash it away. Personal preference aside, brushing and flossing should both be at the top of our list of daily “to-dos.”
