Bringing life to an old Crown. Fractured crowns can be repaired. There are however some factors to consider when making the decision to repair or replace. These include the state of the existing crown, dentition and the underlying tooth structure; the time frame afforded in order to complete treatment; the presence of habits and finally budget constraints. Which in some cases is actually the deciding factor. While replacing a crown would be indicated in some cases, a simple repair where possible always proves to be the more economically viable option. The ultimate aim of treatment is to provide the best possible care while being mindful of mitigating factors. This particular case was time sensitive, hence the repair. The result was positive, allowing our wonderful patient to face the world, Smiling!!!!
