I'd like to express my sincerest gratitude to the Niagara Community. I received an email today from Niagara Community Votes congratulating Mablellie's Drawer for winning the Platinum award in the Lingerie category. It's been a tough year and a half for all small businesses and I must admit I almost gave up several times. The emotional toll of closing the doors meant giving up on a dream. The happiness of opening the doors along with my two wonderful cousins Bonnie Harper and Rose Marie Gallant and the hope for the future would be lost. The 1st 3 months lockdown brought feelings of numbness, depression, panic, and anxiety. Only open 6 months at the time, I thought it was over. June arrived and with that came so many supporters. Customers making appointments and expressing their thoughts, grateful that Mablellie’s Drawer was open again. During this 2nd lockdown, the phone has still rung for inquiries, orders for curbside pick-up, and customers wanting to make appointments once we are allowed to open again. The support in the community is overwhelming and I feel truely blessed.
