Singers have an incredible and unique instrument that can not be replaced: Their voices. Taking care of it is vital to have a long-lasting music career. When performing, knowing what you can drink before or during keeps your voice healthy to deliver a great performance. 1. Water, staying hydrated is a necessity and nothing will assist you better than plain, natural water. You don't want the water to be ice-cold, room temperature is preferred, but if you want it a little cooler it still works fine. 2. Decaffeinated tea can be quite soothing to your throat muscles. This will increase your flexibility and allow your muscles to stay relaxed. The more relaxed your muscles you'll notice better control of your voice, ease hitter higher pitches, and with tea, you'll feel hydrated, but not bloated. 3. Honey, not exactly a "liquid." However, small doses of honey in tea or water can be effective to soothe your voice. While fighting vocal strains, it also is preventative for sore throats. By applying to the vocal music programs our music school offers, you will not just know how to maintain your voice healthy but also learn techniques and master your abilities. https://www.aimm.edu/blog/best-worst-drinks-before-vocal-performance Atlanta Institute of Music and Media 2875 Breckinridge Blvd #700, Duluth, GA 30096 (770) 242-7717
