How to search for a home like a Pro. This September 2020 many buyers are still looking for a home. Looking for a home can be tough in a competitive market. What’s a buyer to do? 1. Focus on practical and functional priorities such as location, schools and price. Don’t get lost in all the home buying hoo-ha (sparkling granite counters, hardwood floors!) Do not fall in love with sparkly hardwood floors and forget about the hour drive to your work. 2. Focus on your lifestyle. If cutting grass and cleaning gutters is not your cup of tea then may be exclude that single home with two acres of land. Its a lovely home but not for you. 3. Think like a buyer 5-7 years in the future. If basements are standard in the area you are buying, make sure your home has a basement. Future buyers will expect a basement. 4. Look beyond the fancy kitchen and sparkly hardwood floors. Think replacement costs for roof, heating and cooling systems, appliances. 5. Dig deeper; look closely at the tree on the property. Roots from older trees can invade the sewer line & untrimmed branches can clog gutters. Vacant land that could be developed, noisy & high-traffic areas. Pay attention to that steep driveway that could send water special delivery to your foundation. 6. Compromise for your priorities. If a home comes at the right price and in the school district you want but does not have the dreamy granite counter tops- TAKE IT!! Contact ikanyeng456@gmail.com
