The gluteal muscle is an amazing structure of the Equine Anatomy, the muscle group comprises of 🤓 The Superficial Gluteal, Its action is to extend the hip, retracts the limb and supports outward rotation. 🤓 The Middle Gluteal, its action is a poweful hip extensor, retracts and abducts the limb. Transfers the power of the hindlimb to the trunk, allowing the horse to rear up. 🤓 The Deep Gluteal its action us to extends the hip and abducts the limb. 🤓 The tensor fascia latae indirectly flexes the hip and extending the stifle, and advances the limb during the swing phase of the stride. 🤓 The first three are the rump of the horse, the tensor fascia latae muscle located on the lateral side of the hip. 🤓 Being able to treat these muscle groups with Equine massage Therapy assists your horses performance 🎭. 🤓 There are a range of techniques that i use to relax and release muscle tension tightness and pain, the comprise of the following: 🤚 Effleurage Kneading Compression Trigger point therapy.👌 🤚 My tools: My hands.
