Mt Tamborine Summit Bush walking Tour Join us on this guided half day hiking experience climbing up the eastern slopes of beautiful Mt Tamborine. Hike up one way or return back to the valley after lunch, create your own itinerary. We start the hike in the valley and follow a sometimes very steep fire trail up the slopes through open forest until we enter subtropical rainforest. Here we navigate a creek for a few hundred metres amongst palm trees . The creek has several small rockpools ideal for a cool down. Once out of the rainforest the track becomes quite steep before reaching a road near the top of the mountain. At the top of the mountain, it is a leisurely 20-minute walk to the local cafes including the mountain brewery which is an ideal place for lunch and a rewarding cold beer after the climb. A reasonable high level of fitness is recommended for the hike as we climb a total of 500 metres from valley to summit. Some sections are steep, so good hiking shoes are recommended. After the hike we recommend a cool swim in a nearby deep creek located in the valley near the starting point.
