Slow Art Day 2021
Apr 10, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Slow Art Day is an International event that encourages people to discover for themselves the joy of looking at and loving art. Slow Art Day was created 11 years ago to encourage everyone to slow down and appreciate art. Our location means we can safely invite people to stop by Northern Lights Gallery any time between 9am and 5 pm to view a total of 5 pieces created by artists from our part of the world. The point of this day is to remind people that anyone can admire and appreciate art, regardless of your background or education, and that it is an integral part of everyone's life. This year's collection includes pieces by Linsey Levendal, Monica Daschuk, Al Jardine, Beth Bentz and Jim Mason. Please join us (wearing a mask of course), bring a friend and slow down to completely absorb and admire one or all of the pieces that are part of this show. After viewing the piece(s) at Northern Lights Gallery please slide over to The Shervin-Smith Gallery for their featured show “Accidental Utopia” by Sylvia Siemann, and at some point stop at one of our local restaraunts/coffee shops and talk about what you saw. For More information please visit slowartday.com or contact Sandra at Northern Lights Gallery.
