The Kids beanbag chair workshop is for ages 8 - 15 years. The workshop is split over 2 weeks - Work shop 1 is on Friday the 20th of March 2020 Workshop 2 is on Friday the 27th of March 2020 The kids will have the opportunity to learn how to make this super beanbag chair and get to grips with using a sewing machine. Along the way we will teach how to follow a sewing pattern, how to construct the beanbag, how to insert a zip, finish the seams and talk a little bit about why it is good for the planet to try and reuse thing rather than throw away and to help them get creative with what they already have rather than buying more. There are 2 pricing options for this class Option 1 - £50.00 which includes 2 metres of fabric, inner lining, a 22"zipper, matching thread and use of all equipment needed, a printed booklet and paper pattern which is yours to keep and 4 hours of tuition over 2 sessions. Option 2 - £45.00 which includes all of the above excluding the fabric. You will need to bring 2 metres of medium weight fabric such as thick curtain fabric. If you don't have any old fabric you wish to use, why not have a look for some old curtains in charity shops or ask relatives to have a look through an old stash. Please note - for both pricing options the beanbag filing is NOT provided. You will need to bring this along with you. The size of beanbag chair we will be making holds 2.5 cubic metres of beanbag filling.
