Club Update on Coronovirus/Covid-19 Following the latest advice from the government regarding COVID-19, Cannon Hill Cycling Club are suspending all club rides until further notice. The safety of our riders, their family and also the wider community is our priority, and a situation such as this requires everyone to play their part in flattening the curve and minimising the spread of COVID-19. We greatly encourage all of our riders to follow the advice to avoid all non-essential travel and unnecessary contact with others. There is also the additional risk of accidents while out cycling which could add to what will be an overstretched NHS. The committee will continue to monitor and review Government, British Cycling and Cycling UK advice. We will get through this and be back out doing the activities we so love. This may well be in a few weeks or a few months time but it will happen. The Committee. In the meantime please take care of yourself and others by following Goverment advise; - Wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds - Always wash your hands when you get home or into work - Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available - Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze - Put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards - Avoid close contact with people who have symptoms of coronavirus - Use phone, online services, or apps to contact your GP
