Outdoor Skills: Duck Hunting with HCCRA

In partnership with Hoosier Creek Conservation and Retriever Association (HCCRA) and Corridor Outdoor Adventures we are happy to host an Introduction to Duck Hunting for youth local to Cedar Rapids and Iowa City Corridor on October 2 & 3. > Oct 2 Saturday 4PM - 6PM: Firearm Safety, trap shooting fundamentals (at Hawkeye Wildlife gun/trap range located North of North Liberty Iowa off Highway 965) > Oct 3 Sunday 4AM - 1PM: Youth waterfowl hunt (including an introduction of waterfowl hunting and hunting etiquette followed by learning how to clean birds, methods to cook/bake along with other food) This event is made possible by the following non-profit organizations: - HCCRA is a non-profit organization that focuses on conservation, dog training, and youth outreach. https://www.hccra.club/ - COA's is mission is to provide education and outreach for people and outdoor activities in Iowa https://corridoroutdooradventures.com/ The following non-profits have a presence in Iowa to educate youth and volunteers with the Iowa DNR: - Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors: Matching caring adults with a passion for the outdoors with children that want to learn about the outdoors; dedicated to giving children the chance to experience the great outdoors! https://www.outdoormentors.org/ - Iowa Scholastic Clay Target Program, Inc. is committed to supporting organized youth, high school and collegiate clay target shooting programs across the state of Iowa. https://www.iowasctp.org/about-us
