About Us:

Our primary goal at Absolute Self Defense Academy is to teach students of all ages how to protect themselves and be aware of their surroundings.

Jiu Jitsu provides peace of mind and an escape from everyday stressors in the process. We are the most affordable Jiu Jitsu academy in Copperas Cove while still providing top-quality instruction. The Absolute Self Defense Academy team continues to prove why our school’s legacy has been built over a decade and counting.

Our History:

Owner Brittnay Emberton’s father opened Absolute Self Defense Academy in 2015.

A veteran, he taught Brittnay everything he knew from his military service. This included a knack for organized learning, which Brittnay put to use when she started training in 2006 and coaching as a white belt. Today Brittnay and her husband, Teddy, are IBJJF certified with a competitive pedigree. After many years in martial arts, owner Brittnay Emberton is still inspired by the growth of her students. From watching them get on the mat and gain confidence to winning titles, it all ignites her passion even further.
