Landscape Design & Installation

We specialize in installing commercial and residential landscapes. Also, we offer full maintenance of the landscapes following installation. We offer full maintenance of lawn and landscapes including the following:

Lawns

All areas prepped by various grading methods using “York Rake”, “Rock Hound”, “Power Rake”, “Box Scraping”, or hand grading. Areas are then stabilized by preferred type of seed and fertilizer either with a broadcast spreader or hydroseeder, then straw and a tackifier are applied.

For use on slopes or swales we offer a full line of erosion control products. For customers that want an “instant lawn” we offer drought resistant sod.

Storm Water Maintenance & Repair

We are licensed by the State of Maryland to maintain and install storm water ponds, and trained in storm water maintenance and sediment control field practices. Storm water ponds are treatment ponds designed to improve water quality. Thick growths of algae or other nuisance aquatic plants in ponds and lakes typically come from poorly managed storm water, or point/non point pollution sources. Point source pollution comes from a specific point, such as a pipe. Non point source pollution results from improper land management, over-fertilization, erosion and sedimentation.

We work with Maryland Counties to bring SWM ponds into compliance by following these guidelines:

• A buffer that is 25 to 50 feet wide and should have grasses, shrubs and trees to be fully effective.
• Aquatic and semi-aquatic vegetation will also take nutrients from the water to reduce algae blooms;
  vegetation also limits shoreline erosion into the pond. Maintain the grass height inside the buffer to a minimum height of 6 to 8 inches.

To minimize open soil areas, limit soil erosion by maintaining healthy sod and mulch around the area.

Please take note though: sod does a poor job of filtering run off and should not be substituted for a buffer or filter strip.

Grading & Excavation

We have the equipment and experience in excavation. We work with area plumbing and mechanical contractors in repairing and installing sewer and water pipes. Also, we offer excavation services for excavating footers and digging and backfill for pool installation.

Irrigation

Classic Lawn & Landscape features a full line of the “Rain Bird” series systems installed to your specifications. We offer full service and maintenance on these systems. We have the experitse, equipment and highly experienced specialty crews to help you develop your concepts and design a hardscape or retaining wall that will compliment your space and add a unique element to any landscape. We use pavers and wall block from all the major manufracturers and are able to provide you wil the best pricing for a custom installation.

Water Features & Pondless Water Falls

We design and install custom built water gardens featuring Aquascape products. We also provide and install aquatic plants and Koi fish to complete your water feature.
