Membership Requirements
- Membership Dues. Membership dues are a one time fee of $45. Membership dues can be paid at general meetings. A part of this pays for a Happy Feet Clinic t-shirt (renewed every year), which our members wear to clinics, but remainder goes to our emergency funds. Although we get most of our funding for clinic supplies from grants, there are some things we need to use our emergency funds for outside of the academic year. If this fee presents an obstacle to your membership in the organization, talk to our financial coordinator Julie.
- HIPPA Training. All members are required to complete HIPPA training in order to volunteer at the clinics, whenever we are able to safely do so. You can become HIPPA certified by completing an online training offered by David Geffen School of Medicine. You can access the training here.
- Clinic Training Session. All new members are required to attend this training session in order to familiarize yourself with how clinics are run.
- Annual recruitment duties. These include: reposting club graphics/information, changing cover/profile photos, or other items as necessary.
- Complete 1 advocacy action per quarter. Although we only require 1 action per quarter, we hope that you advocate for underserved populations beyond our requirements.
- Attend 2 "clinics" per quarter. We hope to make care package assembly accessible to all of our members, and this will count as your "clinics" for the time being.
- Attend 1 social per quarter. We typically have 2-3 socials per quarter.
- Attend 3 general meetings per quarter. We typically have 4 general meetings per quarter.
