Have played here a few times this year and haven't found the course wet but then we have had great weather. It's a very tricky course requiring accurate shot. I'm not a big hitter but if you were you wouldn't need a driver! It's great if you're a bit unsure as its like playing on a private course, 4 other people playing last time I went mid week in May and absolutely gorgeous views wherever you look. New green keeper who has made great improvements since February. Well worth a visit, excellent value for money and friendly people running it.

thought greens were too small. course to tight to have 18 tee's only big enough for 9. course is always wet and is very dangerous

Great value for money, and short, but very testing. Accuracy is the key, and guts are needed when playing the first hole and the tenth hole, if your tee shot is in the slightest bit wayward, you've lost the ball bigtime. It's very tranquill, peaceful and there is allways a warm welcome there. It really is a course quite different from any other course in the world......

Situated in Bourton on the borders of Dorset, Somerset and Wilts, Bullpits is an exacting little 9 holer with minute greens and awkward stances. On the valley sides of the River Stour, water comes into play on the early holes whilst 6 to 9 are in a higher, but no less exacting field. Can become very wet and untidy in winter, but is well worth a visit in Summer - don`t expect to play to your handicap though on the first visit and take extra balls as water is sure to gulp at least one !\r\nBullpits is a small club and although has a nice clubhouse, this is usually closed during the week so cards can be obtained, and monies paid, at the back door of the attached house. Visitors parking is at the old Milk factory (well signposted) and you then have to take a short signposted walk through the woods to get to the course. Although only 3362 yards long in total, it feels like many more with some stiff climbs and it is often more advisable to carry a light bag than to take trollies.
