A faith-based program to help individuals equip themselves for life and employment.
Is a free 10-week program, open to individual age 18 and older, combining practical training in life skills and job readiness skills. Classes will consist of job search and interview skills, remedial reading, family finances, health and nutrition, personal and family hygiene, basic computer skills, family life, family planning, and preparing economical meals. Also included will be a beauty make over and a job interview outfit. The outfit will be given on the completion of the program. Clients must agree to weekly Bible study with a mentor. A volunteer mentor is teamed with each participant to develop a relationship over a 2-year span. Child care and lunch is provided at no charge.
Also available is a mentor training program. Christian women are invited to become mentors.
