The Journal of Development Communication

The Journal of Development Communication (JDC) is an international publication dealing with an array of development related topics. The main objective of JDC is to examine the role of communication in promoting national and regional development and to offer  insights into practical tools, innovative practices and emerging trends in the field of development communication. JDC is concerned with understanding people, their beliefs and values, and the social and cultural norms that shape their lives.  JDC provides a forum to discuss ideas and issues on the processes, strategies and principles of communication that empower individuals and communities to take actions to improve their lives. The Journal is published for professionals, practitioners and students concerned with development issues in the world today.  Original research,  viewpoints, project reports and  book reviews on any current issue directly or indirectly related to development communication are  published in this Journal.

Published twice yearly, in June and December, by the Asian Institute for Development Communication (Aidcom), JDC is a non-profit peer-review journal since 1990 and currently UNISEL Press is our co-publisher. The journal is  published using the OJS platform and it can be accessed at our website here.
