Putting Action Behind My Neighbors'

I am most passionate about giving my community the voice and empowerment they desrve. The role of a city council person is to be a public servant. There is no room for self-serving agendas.

My late grandparents. They gave so much to their community on the basis of being a good neighbor and simply doing what's good for their community and country.

Accountability. Transparency. Selflessness. Measurable progress. Open-minded.

My greatest passion has always been to give to my neighbors and community. Whether it be talent, time or treasures. I believe my greatest talents have always been the ability to admit and see my mistakes, learn from them and propell forward. I also have a great gift in accepting feedback from others without being defensive. I strive to always learn more and do better. I have a great gift of being empathetic and hearing others, even if it's not in league with my own point of views.

The CORE responsibility is to be an authentic respresentative/service worker for the neighbors and businesses in which you serve.

No matter what, I tried my best and had the whol-hearted intentions to make a difference.

I had the great gift of spending my summers with my Grandparents in Bristol, RI. The home of the longest running 4th of July celebration in the country. It is there I learned the significance of a community that was brave enough to stand up, speak up and fight for what was right. The power has and always will be with the people.

I don't have 1 favorite book. But I love Biographies. I love learning about how people process information, learn, grow and even fail.

The Cheshire Cate: Known for appearing and disappering at well (in my minding stepping up and stepping down as needed). The Cheshire Cat at will engages in amusing but sometimes perplexing conversations (of which describes my personality quite well)

I once went to a local antique store, here in MN, and picked up a techni-color-like portrait of an older man sitting in a chair on the porch. The colors complimented my home but there was something about the man I was drawn to and felt kin to. One day, my father came to visit and noticed the picture on the wall. He asked me, " why do you have a picture of my Grandfather (his Grandfather was from RI and I had never met him or even seen a picture of him) on your wall? Where did you get that from?" I explained I had found it in a local shop and just liked it, bought it and hung it up. -It isn't actually a picture of his grandfather (that we know of) but when I finally did see a real picture of his Grandfather, the resemblance was out of this world! I think I was just genetically drawn to it. Afterwards, I started to work on my family tree to get to know my heritage better.

If you're not in it for the true love of your community, you shouldn't be doing it.

At the city council level, we have the best opportunity to do the most good for our neighbors and community.
