Supporting Evidence
The CO2e of the industry benchmark product was estimated by examining the emissions due to the: 1) product raw materials; 2) packaging raw materials; 3) manufacturing process, and 4) shipping logistics. For the raw materials the approximate % composition, weight, and an estimate of the CO2e of each material was used. Shipping emissions was estimated based on a likely global manufacturing location and an assumption of mode of transport (air, sea, land).
