About Castillo Immigration Law Firm
Marina Castillo Gómez has been the owner and Principle Immigration Attorney of Castillo Immigration Law Firm since 2015. She is graduated from University of CT School of Law and she holds a Certificate in Human Rights at the University of Connecticut School of Law.
Throughout her years of experience, Attorney Castillo has worked to process cases in naturalization, adjustment of status, marriage-based visas (IMFA), fiancée visas, renewal of green cards, National Visa Center processes, family-based visas and employment visas in general.
Attorney Castillo works to provide both legal assistance and compassion for her clients. She spent four years as the Immigration Attorney and Immigrant Assistant Director at Faith Action International House, and she is a proud advocate for her Latino community.
In her personal life, she is married and a mother of three.

Arturo Abiff Lopez Chavez

My name is Arturo Lopez, and I have had the pleasure of working at Castillo Immigration Law Firm for the past four years as a paralegal. I received my law degree in Mexico City, Mexico and worked in civil and criminal law for a total of four years. Once I moved to North Carolina, I studied at UNCG’s English Immersion program, also known as Interlink. Through UNCG’s program, I was able to better my bilingual skills, both verbally and in writing.
In my free time, I enjoy going to parks with my wife and children, and playing volleyball. I am passionate about soccer and Mexican culture. I enjoy working in the immigration area because I am able to assist clients of different nationalities with their individual cases and watch their dreams and goals come true as they become U.S. Citizens, residents, obtain visas, etc. It is my pleasure to serve you and welcome to Castillo Immigration Law Firm!
Jackie Berry
Sr Case Management Paralegal
Jackie Berry is a Paralegal with Castillo Immigration Law Firm. She is originally from Colombia where she practiced law for about 16 years. She immigrated to the United States in 2002. Jackie graduated as a paralegal from CPCC and has a Master of Law in American Legal Studies. She has over 17 years of experience as an immigration paralegal working for several law firms.
Following her passion to advocate for others in need and to assist the community, she represented refugees, asylees and low-income families while working for a non-profit organization in Charlotte as a BIA Accredited Representative. Jackie has a strong connection with the family unity, social justice and advocacy causes and policies. As an immigrant, she enjoys getting to know our clients and empathizes with their stories. In her spare time, Jackie enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and friends. She finds joy in taking care of her kittens and doing Zumba.
Rosa Rodarte
Legal Assistant
My name is Rosa Rodarte, I am originally from Mexico, I entered the United States undocumented in November 1989, at the age of 16. The reason I immigrated to the United States was because my mother was already living here.
My mother was a beneficiary of the amnesty that President Ronald Regan granted to farmers in the 1980s. Thanks to that I benefited from the 245 (i) law, but I had to wait 16 years to be able to legalize my immigration status. For these reasons I understand the pain and suffering of immigrants and the needs to legalize their immigration status.
Through the years of my experience of working in the immigration field, knowing and feeling that satisfaction of being able to help immigrants to achieve legalization of their immigration status, or even to obtain a work permit is something very satisfactory and above all a dream come true.
I have been fortunate enough to work in the Immigration field for the past ten years as a legal assistant . Being employed for almost a decade at the same field given me the opportunity to work with clients from the beginning of their immigration case until they reach U.S. Citizenship. Through my years of work I have seen client’s reach citizenship through a spouse petition, parent petitions, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, U-Visas, etc.
I am thankful for my personal experience of how long it can take to obtain legal status, because it helps me be compassionate with my clients because I have firsthand knowledge how frustrating it can be to wait years to obtain legal status.
As I have found joy in seeing so many immigrants reach U.S. Citizenship or some type of legal status, I would like to continue working in the immigration field and be able to help more immigrants reach their American Dream.
Yessika Guerrero
Office Assistant
Yessika Guerrero S., was born and raised in Merida, Venezuela and currently living in the United States for almost 7 years with her husband and her adorable son. She graduated from Universidad de Los Andes (ULA, Venezuela) with a Bachelor of Laws. While she was there, she practiced Civil Law. She is very passionate about everything that has to do with hope and justice. Immigration Law has become her favorite area of practice because it gives individuals and entire families the opportunity to achieve their goals and dreams in this country.
