Does anyone have recent experience storing luggage at or near the Termini station in Rome? There seem to be various independent businesses that do this. "Stow Your Bags," "Radical Storage", etc. We will have one large (50 lb) bag that needs to be stored for five days. Obviously I'm looking for secure, convenient, and not too expensive! Thanks.

I know it's not Rome, but I our experience was positive. My daughter and I used Radical Storage in Venice the end of 2021. It was easy to set up on our phone, the execution was simple and we got our suitcases back without any problems.

There is a luggage storage place in Termini Station. Look for the signs "Deposito Bagagli". It was on the right side of the station, on the left before the food shops. Google the words Deposito Bagagli Roma Termini and google will bring up some pictures of it.
I do not know the cost or how long you can store luggage there, but that's your start to do your own research. Good luck!

The manned luggage storage mentioned by Derek is the only one inside Roma Termini station. It's quite expensive.
It is managed by Kipoint, a private company working in outsourcing for the State Railways all over Italy.

rubisca11, I can't help being curious about this 50-lb bag? Your previous posts indicate that your family ( 2 adults/3 petite teens) will be in Italy for just over a week: 3 days Rome; 4 nights Sorrento; one night Rome before flying home. In your thread about potentially renting a car, you said, "We are only taking carry-on bags for the trip, all soft-sided, so I think we could fit them into the trunk of a car."
Very sensible!
So unless you are visiting Italy as part of a much longer trip, where does this mysterious, very large bag fit into the picture? I guess if there is a way of eliminating this albatross altogether, you might want to consider that option? 🧐

Hi, Kathy! Very observant of you. My younger teens and husband and I are in Rome now with our small bags. Tomorrow night my college-student teen who’s been studying abroad in Europe will meet us here with her small carryon AND her huge bag that has everything she’s needed all semester. We want to stash it in Rome while the five of us head south for a few days. We all fly out of Rome next week.
Make sense? We will definitely take the train and not drive, but schlepping that big bag was never in my plans.

Aah, the semester-abroad luggage. I'd encourage your daughter to research what it's going to cost to store that bag in Rome and (I assume) pay the extra-bag fee on the flight home. There may be some things in that bag that aren't worth the cost of flying them home. Of course, if the bag itself is good quality and has many years of useful life remaining, I guess there's not a lot of choice here. Without the bag, it might just be possible to divvy up the contents among carry-on bags you each take on the plane.
