If I hire a cohost and they have superhost status does that transfer to my listing?

Hey Community --

I'm just starting out with vacation rentals and have purchased my first property (wohoo!). I'm vetting co-hosts and one of them mentioned that since they're a superhost that superhost status will transfer to my listing. Is that accurate?

If so, I'm also curious if they no longer co-host for me do I lose the superhost status on my listing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Best,

Michael

@Michael5444 You will need to set them up as the primary host.

Don't put too much stock into Superhost status. By setting up a "new" listing you will get a big boost in the search results for a few weeks. You will need 10 completed reviews with an average of 4.8 or above to be awarded superhost. So it can happen within a matter of months.

@Michael5444 Hi! Where are you looking for cohosts? I'd like to get in the business of cohosting and am looking for a good platform to post my services and availability.
