Hello and Happy 2021!!,
We are looking for any and all individuals to assist in the creation of a new Telemedicine Project called Detroit VITALS free clinic (Virtual Intersystem Telemedicine And Lifestyle Services). We are looking for any and all level of interest in this point and from any/all career perspectives from Social Work and Information technology to Health care and Allied professions. We are very much looking for other Physicians and Providers who may be interested in volunteering for a few hours or more a month from the safety of your home! All appointments, meetings and interventions will be done online and can be done from the safety of your home. With the COVID-19 pandemic still raging across the US, safety is our number one priority while still providing access to Healthcare via Telemedicine.
At Detroit VITALS, we believe Healthcare is not a privilege but a right and we need your help to make this a reality!!
Our goal will be to start providing primary care and specialty services via internet to persons without health insurance. We are more than willing to train students or persons without healthcare experience in taking patient information and participating in their care.
Shifts are not set in stone at this time nor is operating hours which are subject to change. Volunteers will be able to volunteer from home as this is a virtual opportunity. There will be a expected number of hours (likely 2 shifts per month, 1 shift = 3 hours), however this is subject to change. Tentatively we will be open for 5-8 hours Tuesday thru Thursday. Currently, we are open for administrative hours between 2-5 PM Tuesday - Thursday.
