Hybrid Wood Plantation Shutters are constructed with a core of North American hardwood, encased in a poly wrap. This combination offers enhanced durability and resistance, particularly in areas prone to moisture or exposed to intense sunlight.

The polywrapped wood ensures that the shutters are highly resistant to warping, cracking, or fading, ensuring long-lasting performance. This feature makes them particularly suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, or rooms where moisture is prevalent.

Choose from 4 different colors to match your home. Additional features like split tilt and hidden tilt are available for increased light control and privacy.

Product Specifications

Maximum width for a single panel is 36”. Maximum width when a second panel is attached to the first panel (example: LLRR panel configuration) is 26” (per panel).
Minimum width for a single panel is 8”.
Minimum panel height: 16”. Maximum panel height: 114”.
Do not take any deductions when measuring your windows. We will manufacture your shutters with industry standard deductions (3/16” for L-Frames, 1/4” for Z Frames).
A divider rail is required on windows over 72” tall. 2 divider rails are required on windows over 96” tall. This is to reinforce the structure of the shutter and avoid sagging louvers.
If your window has a sill, we will make sure your frame is manufactured to accommodate the sill.
If your window has molding, you will either have to order an inside mount L-Frame or use an outside mount frame.

Inside mount L Frames are built as perfect rectangles (or squares) and any out-of-squareness in your window will be visible after installation. Caulk is often the best solution to hide any small gaps.
If your window is designed to tilt inwards, an inside mount shutter frame will restrict its ability to open completely. Opt for an outside mount frame to eliminate this problem.
Windows are often built out of square and this can be problematic on an inside mount shutter if the out-of-squareness is too large. To check, measure from corner to corner of the window each way. If the measurements are off more than 1/2", you should consider ordering an outside mount frame.
We ask if your window is side-by-side with another window to ensure that shutter louvers match up from window to window and give your room a uniform look. If there are windows side-by-side, each window will be made to the same height (if they are within 1” of each other).

Window Depth Requirements:

The required clearance to assure the louvers can tilt without issue for an outside mount frame depends on the product:

Composite Wood: 2" required clearance
Painted/Stained Wood: 1 ½” required clearance

If you are mounting outside of molding and do not meet the clearance requirements, we will "build out" the frame to extend past the obstruction/molding and allow full operation of the shutter. We will be able to see this in the photo uploaded during the design process and add it to the manufacturing process. We will notify you if this is needed for your window.
