We had our deck replaced two weeks ago. Craig Small met with us in November and designed the project . We agreed and his crew started work in mid December. Our goal was to have the project completed before Christmas, and it was. Our deck is made of treated wood and we have a ramp as well as two stairways. The crew are good carpenters and they worked efficiently and were very courteous. Each night they moved their tools aside so that we had free access to our driveway and garage. The project was completed in five days. We are very satisfied with our new deck and would recommend Decks Unlimited for any deck project that you might have.

I am impressed with the craftsmanship shown in the job. They even provided the extra customer service touch of putting my grill up on my new deck, remembering that I previously needed assistance getting it down. This was all done at a fair price as well. I can proudly say that my new deck constructed in just a few weeks is sensational. I hired Decks Unlimited to redo a deck that was being constructed by another company that made a total mess of it. After 2 years under construction, I finally gave up on the previous “specialist” and his endless excuses and poor workmanship and hired Craig Small to work his magic. His crew worked diligently to reconstruct the deck to standards far above outstanding. I will always be grateful to their attention to detail. Rain, snow and cold never stood in their way to show up on time and work tirelessly to be sure the job was done exactly to my vision and expectation. They are the BEST.

What set Craig and his crew apart was their desire to build the deck of our dreams and not some standard deck form of their design. From the outset we requested alternative design specifications that were different than their usual way of making decks (beams 6x6”, 2x6” boards instead of deck planking. encasing posts with cement so no wood was in contact with dirt ) which they adapted to easily and with great enthusiasm. Throughout the project we altered plans and shifted design which they accommodated most readily. We particularly enjoyed the work ethic and personality of our crew (Rafa, Carlos, Junior, Yoel). If you are stopping on Deck’s Unlimited’s web site to look for a deck contractor in Louisville, LOOK NO FURTHER. I worked with Craig Small and he was the most honest, open, dependable contractor I have ever worked with. Craig responded to text messages and phone calls to a fault. We water proofed our deck. After it was installed, it was leaking between the baseboard and the house, my wife filmed it and I showed it to Craig via text. His response was “This is unacceptable, we will fix it.” A few days later, they had taken up the boards, installed flashing, and fixed the issue. I’m installing a pool and I wish that Craig installed pools. I would use him for every contracting job I needed if he did more than just deck. In fact, I am eventually going to finish the ceiling of my walk out basement. Instead of using the pool contractors deck guy, I’m going to have Craig come out and finish. Craig’s team that installed my deck were polite, professional, and true craftsmen. They tore out my old deck, hand carried it all out of my yard, and installed a beautiful deck that will hopefully last a life time. In today’s world, it is hard to find a trust worthy contractor. Like I stated before, Craig is an honest person who’s word means something. I’d recommend him a million times over and would use him and his team again if my deck ever needed work (it shouldn’t).

Craig and his team just completed a screened porch for me, and I couldn't be happier with the end result. So my experience started with a meeting with Craig (owner). I explained to him what I wanted done and he gave me multiple options and ideas to choose from. We recently bought a house and it had a double level deck that looked beautiful at first, but upon closer inspection was in bad shape. Buyer beware! Anyway, Craig came out and talked with us and we worked with him to replace the deck in a way that was both more affordable for us and just a wow-ingly beautiful result. We just love it! His crew was polite and good at what they do. We did have to wait a few months on the waiting list and it was SO WORTH IT!! Hire these folks - you won't regret it! Marvel and team were terrific; from the quote, to tear out of my old deck, to building the new deck. Unlike the other three quotes I received, Marvel's quote gave me detail and not just a price. And, he quoted on several different products which was extra work. Besides the quality of the craftsmanship, the clean-up was impeccable. No construction debris was left....and no lunch/snack trash ie., cans, bottles, chip bags. cigarette butts were left behind. (If there were any to leave behind!) I never imagined that I would have a new deck in February! They worked in the cold and had to navigate saturated wet ground due to the ice and rain. All set to landscape in the Spring! I highly recommend Decks Unlimited .

I was very happy to have chosen Deck's Unlimited for our project. The quality of the deck and professionalism of the crew were outstanding. They worked fast but were diligent on every detail. If something was just a little off, they re-worked without any prompting. Marvel was my contact from the beginning and he delivered on every aspect of our agreement. Our project was demo and removal of existing deck and replace with a much larger footprint. We ran into a few unforeseen issues which the team professionally handled.
