Durable Lawn provides several selections of artificial grass that ranges in both thickness and coloring. The coloring is varied based on the particular shade of green and certain types have a few brown blades of grass to make it look more natural. We also have putting greens for the golf fans among us. Yes. Our artificial grass as well as our installation process is friendly to the environment. The turf itself contains no harmful chemicals that would be detrimental. The base layer and the infill we use to put on top of the grass are all organic materials that contains no harmful chemicals. The installation of the grass itself has environmental benefits in that you will no longer need to water, fertilize, use pesticides or weed killers, or ever need to use a lawnmower which would require gas.

When it comes to the installation of the grass itself, we primarily work with clients in the Tampa Bay area. We are able to install in other areas across Florida if you contact us directly. If you’re interested in just purchasing the grass itself, we can ship it to any part of the country.

While our grass isn’t flammable, we do not recommend putting a barbeque on your artificial lawn since extreme temperatures can singe the tips of the grass strands, so precaution is necessary.

Our excavation and installation process eliminates the worries of weeds growing through the artificial grass. If properly installed, weeds should not be able to grow through the base layer and the grass membrane of the turf itself. There are however some rare cases where birds flying overhead can drop seeds, but the conditions make it extremely difficult for them to root. We have installed hundreds of artificial lawns all across Florida and weeds have not been an issue thanks to our meticulous installation process.

Our artificial turf is very realistic since the manufacturing process has advanced to the point of making the most natural looking grass. We do have several choices of grass to choose from and each offers their own unique aesthetics in terms of thickness and shades of green. 

We use an infill called “Zeofill” that is specifically geared towards eliminating any odor if the dog pees on it. Our grass is well known for being “pet friendly” not just for being comfortable for the dog to lay on, but the ease at which odors can be eliminated. Since the grass has amazing drainage properties, simply remove any solids and then hose the area down.

Our grass comes in rows of 15 feet wide and can be up to any distance in length. We will specifically design and install the artificial grass in a way that is as material efficient as possible and requires the fewest amount of seams. Our installation specialists do an amazing job at ensuring the the grass is as seamless as possible. 

During the preparation process, we remove the original lawn and top 3 inches of topsoil. We will then replace it with a proper layer of crushed base material that we will spread evenly and compact with a machine. Once the artificial grass is layed out on top of it and properly fitted, stretched, and cut, will we hammer in galvanized 6-inch nails all along the edges and seams. The nails as well as the base layer beneath the grass will ensure that the artificial grass is secured firmly on the ground and not be allowed to move.

We at Durable Lawn are proud to have installed artificial grass for many families with children and day cares. Not only is our product soft and gentle to the touch, but it is made to be very durable for all their playtime activities. Our turf is commonly used on sports fields and is made to endure the tough demands that these activities place on it. You children will love playing on the artificial grass and families have raved about the soft feel of the grass between their toes. The hot Florida sun should also not pose too much of a problem since not only is the grass made to prevent the conduction of heat, but we use an infill called “Hydrochill” that is made to help cool the grass in even the most scorching heat of the Florida sun.

The debris can easily be removed using a leaf blower so the grass will always look clean and fresh. You can also use rake or broom if necessary. Other than that, you will never have to worry about watering, mowing, seeding, or fertilizing to have a perfect looking lawn that stays green for many years to come.

The artificial lawn is a sterile environment so insects will never want to take residence in the lawn. Beneath the artificial grass itself, our process of topsoil excavation and the spread of compacted base layer will create conditions that will eliminate the worry of lawn bugs underneath the grass.

Durable Lawn aims to complete the entire installation process in the shortest time possible while also maintaining the highest of standards. While “1 day installation” is possible for small lawns, most average sized lawns will take us between 2-4 working days. For particularly large lawn installations, the installation process may take longer depending on exact circumstances. There are a number of other factors that must be considered such as weather, the ease of access to the work site, and things like the amount of roots, rocks, and plants that must be removed in the excavation process. Please note that while Durable Lawn does strive to complete the installation of your lawn as efficiently as possible, we want to maintain our high standards of excellence and ensure that our clients are happy with the aesthetics of the lawn.
