Discus America Inc - It all started with a small facility with only a few aquariums and a big dream of importing these beautiful creatures in the United States. Our goal is to produce , distribute and have a variety of high-quality Discus fish available. Discus America Inc was established 6 years ago in Las Vegas by Mike who is an enthusiast in love with discus fish. After searching in Las Vegas for high quality discus and coming up empty handed, he came up with the idea of Discus America Inc. A place in Las Vegas where other enthusiasts can find high quality discus fish at affordable prices.

Mike began to build our holding facility in 2015 with the help of his father, Yanko and started importing discus from Vietnam. Slowly but surely the holding facility grew and so did Mike's dream. In the summer of 2016 he met another enthusiast Miguel Torres, who came in looking for discus and was impressed with the selection and quality of Mike’s discus. Miguel kept coming back not only to buy more fish to add to his collection but was also impressed with Mikes state of the art holding facility.

Miguel and Mike having the same passion for the hobby became friends and shortly after business partners.

In the summer of 2017 Miguel, Mike and his father started building their first Discus America store. They wanted to build an aquarium gallery where they can showcase their beautiful discus fish, while providing a comfortable environment for their guests.

Policy:

Shipping policy

All of our discus and angelfish go through an extensive proactive quarantine to ensure that our customers receive healthy fish. We recommend a full quarantine protocol once you have received them. Our discus and angelfish are kept in reconstituted RO water here at our facility. All discus and angelfish will be fasted for 48 hrs. prior to shipping. Shipping will be UPS Next Day Air by 10:30 am. NOT GUARANTEED any more by the carriers and it will be most likely by the end of the day. Shipping will be done Monday through Wednesday excluding holidays. It is recommended that when you order from us, you will make sure that someone will be available to bring your box inside after the box is delivered by UPS.

Hawaiian residents must obtain import permits from any Hawaii Department of Agriculture Plant Quarantine Office and Email it to us at discusamerica@gmail.com. No exceptions. Shipping costs are nonrefundable.

Our acclimation procedure is simple. We recommend that the bags be floated to equalize temperature and then the fish should be removed from the bags and placed gently into the aquarium. DO NOT PLACE THE BAG WATER IN YOUR AQUARIUM. Lights off for 12-24 hrs. after which the lights can be turned on and a small feeding can be attempted.

Return policy

Cancelled orders will incur a 15% restocking fee. Store credit only for DOA. Customers are responsible for providing proof of DOA within 2 hrs. of delivery. Clear pictures/video of the fish in unopened bags must be sent via email to discusamerica@gmail.com . Open bag voids guarantee.
