Mittal Tea House was one of the first shops to sell loose leaf tea in Delhi. It was formerly a general store founded in 1954 by Lieutenant Shri B.D.

Mittal converted it into a teashop in the 1970s. His son, Vikram Mittal, joined the business and became a specialist in dried tea tree leaves. He led several conferences and everywhere defended the idea that tea is packed with qualities and properties that make people happier. Behind the small white counter of the shop, you will always be greeted with a smile and spoiled for choice, with all the varieties of tea available. On the menu are, of course, Indian teas such as Darjeeling, Assam, and Nilgiri-both flavoured and unflavoured-as well as herbal teas, infusions, and other teas from China, Japan, Sri Lanka and South Africa.
