Storage System
Storage space is worth it's weight in gold when car-camping.
The Hele Box's carrying case doubles a compartmentalized storage container, fits snug under the platform, and slides out for easy access to your gear/goodies. It comes with three compartment dividers that you can remove or adjust to your needs!
The wooden topper is easy to unlatch and slide forward so you can access would-be hard to reach gear that's stored under your platform.
Camping Table
Tired of lugging around that rusty old camping table? So were we! The Hele Box is light enough for one person to easily remove, swing around, and use as a gathering area to share old stories and create new memories. You can choose the length of your table by removing one or none of the supports and run it out the back of your tailgate or independently on its own legs.
Sleeping Pad (Add-On)
Our 'car friendly' design is lightweight, extremely comfy, and doesn't sacrificing extra headroom.
- 3” thick hybrid of foam/air allows you to adjust the level of firmness
- Top surface is a soft 50D poly fabric and the bottom is equipped with an anti-slip material
- Inflated size: 72" x 25" x 3"

The one thing I wanted to do was maximize the usability of my vehicle. I have a 94 fj80 and this product is absolutely amazing. I don’t have to spend thousands of dollars trying to figure out how to carry gear and how to sleep comfortably in my own vehicle.
A couple things that I wanted to emphasize is the modularity of the product, it can literally go in anything. It’s space saving so you don’t have to carry multiple items to camp and better yet it acts as an elevated storage (above/under) if you have pack out boxes that fit the dimensions. I use front runner Wolfpack’s myself.
It’s a transferable item, you can bring it in other vehicles, use it as a cot in a tent or even use it while you’re out traveling to always have a makeshift bed ready.
The bed feels extremely sturdy. My dad in the photo is 5’5 180 lbs, I’m 5’7 and about 190 lbs and it felt rigid under weight.
I haven’t even really dug into how many different things this product can do, but I’ll be sure to update it once I figure it out.
I really do recommend this to other potential buyers, sometimes car camping doesn’t have to be so complicated, there are so many products out there that are great but also can take away from the usability of the car overall, I really thing this product is going to help people re-think how they want to use the space in the back of their vehicle. Keep it simple stupid!
What sets this apart from other car platforms are the independently adjustable legs and it can pack down to a manageable size. This platform is lightweight and doesn’t take up a ton of space while storing it which was a big plus for me. I don’t have room to store bulky and heavy plywood platforms. The Hele box is sturdy and each leg can be independently adjusted to make it level over uneven surfaces and includes longer telescopic poles to fit in a footwell, which will allow it to fit a large range of vehicles. I definitely recommend this as a quick solution to camping out in your car and beyond!
I purchased one of your Hele Boxes for my boyfriend’s 4-Runner. It’s perfect! Better than we expected and our dog approved as well! She liked that the legs allowed for the system to be high enough for her to get under. The assembly was easy because the directions were simple and parts were labeled appropriately- the picture helped a great deal too! Love that the slats lock into position therefore they won’t be sliding around if there is movement while sleeping. Overall, beautifully crafted product. Can’t wait to try it in the vehicle.
Purchased for my new CRV and it works great. When I sold my old forester I didn’t want to build another sleeping platform so I went this route. Haven’t used as a table yet, but the sleeping platform and storage are top notch!
I just set it up and couldn’t be happier! I didn’t see my 2021 XC60 on the list of already test fitted vehicles, so I reach out to see if it would work. Got in contact with the owner and he had me send a few measurements and photos before purchasing. The platform is sturdy, pad is very comfy, and storage bag works great with its compartments. It’s lightweight/compact and I have no problem storing when not in use.
