Growing a beard doesn't have to be rocket science. However, if you don't live the healthiest of lifestyles, there is every possibility that your facial hair growth could be being restricted. There are, however, certain things you can be doing to give your beard growth that much-needed boost, all while achieving thicker and healthier hair. By making some simple changes to your lifestyle to improve facial hair growth conditions, you could be growing healthier beard hair in no time.

If you're looking to make a bold statement with your beard style, then a hipster beard may be the choice for you. The hipster beard is not actually a single beard style; it's, in fact, a combination of several beard styles bought together to best suit an individual, the contours of their face and the image or profile they're going for. A hipster beard is also usually tied together with a very complementing hairstyle to give the wearer the particular hipster look they're going for.

The old Dutch beard is also simply known as the Dutch Beard and is the classic old school representation of masculinity that today is stereotypically associated with the lumberjack style. The old Dutch beard has had a very long and eventful history; in the mid 19th century in America, the Dutch beard was recognised as an intellectual or noble beard style owing to its connection with generals and politicians who mostly had the style during the American civil war.

The French fork beard style has a very long and unique history, and it may come as a surprise to you that this beard style actually originated from the Middle East and not France. The Persians loved giving their beards an elegant style, and this was one of the more opulent ones. Over time this Arabic beard style eventually found its way into Europe where it got its unique name; it's called the French fork beard style because it looks similar to the original 2-pronged fork used in France.

Does the name spade beard ring a bell? As the name suggests, this beard style resembles a spade. Similar to the chin curtain beard style, the spade beard features thick and long beard hair grown directly downward from the jawline. The main difference between the spade beard and the chin curtain beard is the spade beard is a denser and more squared-off shape that's generally grown from a slightly higher starting point on the face.

The Verdi beard is a combination of a well-styled and groomed full beard, ducktail beard, rounded beard and moustache, that without a shadow of a doubt is one of the coolest beard styles a man can have. Named after the famous 19th-century composer Giuseppe Verdi, this articulate beard style has in recent years been making a significant comeback with many men opting for its unique head-turning scruffy yet well-groomed look.

Whenever you've come across famous Egyptian royalty such as Pharaoh in movies, documentaries and depictions you may have noticed that rather large, usually fake goatee beard attached to his face, well, that's an Egyptian Goatee. The people of Ancient Egypt were forced to believe that their gods had long pointed goatee beards; this is why sizeable fake status symbol beards were worn by Egyptian royalty to make the people of Egypt believe their leaders were gods.

The chin curtain beard style is also known as the Amish beard; it's known as the Amish beard because most men in the Amish community have this beard style. The chin curtain beard style simply put is hair that grows along the jawline that increases in length at the chin while the upper cheeks, moustache and lower neck are cleanly shaven.

The Brett beard style is the perfect combo of two trendy beard styles: the soul patch and the chin strap. This beard style originally came about from the younger generations of men who struggled to grow a full face of hair. Generally, younger men can grow the hair on and below their jawline several years before they can grow the hair above their jawline. The idea of the Brett beard style is that it gives men who struggle to grow beard hair above their jawline the opportunity to embrace this lack of growth with a stylish and minimalist beard style.
