The Tri-tip Roast is the 1.5-2.5 pounds of meat that comes from the bottom (“tip”) of the sirloin. It’s got a rich flavor and is leaner than other cuts. Its name comes from its triangle shape and the fact that it comes from the very tip of the sirloin. Though the cut is lean and boneless, it’s still tender and full of flavor.

We’ve gotten the best results slow cooking it in a crockpot or by smoking it on the grill. However, we’ve heard of customers really enjoying the results of sous vide as well. Enjoy!
