Friends of Cristina Ase gathered Friday night at Southeast Portland's Glenwood Park to hold a vigil to mark one month since she disappeared.

Ase, who is from Vancouver, was reported missing on March 26 after she didn't show up to work in West Linn. Her car was later found about a mile from her home.

Police consider her disappearance suspicious.

The park where Friday night’s vigil was held is one of the last areas police "pinged" her phone before it was turned off.

In addition to being one month since she vanished, Friday held another significance.

"Today is her birthday. I'm sure if she was here today, we would have been celebrating with her at work,” said Jennifer Williams, one of Ase’s co-workers. "It's really hard not having any answers, not understanding what happened to her. Hoping that there are some sort of lead that we're unaware of at the moment that they are able to find, to find out where she is."

KATU reached out to Vancouver police Friday night for an update in the investigation. They said that they don't have anything new to share, but said the case is active.

Anyone with any information about this case is asked to contact Vancouver police.
