Do NOT USE THIS BONDSMAN!!!
have a friend who has been incarcerated for the last two months who used Roy at 1st Stop Bail Bonds in the past and contacted him again to see if he would be able to work on her bond that was set forth by the courts. The bond was set at $75,000 cash/surety which would allow her to be released upon Roy posting her bond. After speaking with Roy, he agreed that he would post her bond after receiving $3,500 in cash and the remaining $4,000 in property. After this had been discussed, she had contacted me to lend her money to give to Roy to post her bond and upon her release would immediately reimburse me. I agreed. After all arrangements had been made and bond had been paid and received by Roy he went to Adams County Jail to post her bond. Upon waiting for his call to confirm that bond had been posted, I was also told she had a no bond hold out of Denver County. This was not discussed nor brought to my attention by Roy prior to payment sent and bond being posted. When I had spoke to him about the situation, he said he wouldn't have accepted my money if he knew that she had a no bond hold out of Denver County. My question, among many is how could he not have seen this prior to receiving the money. This is his job! When I asked for my money back, he said all payments are non-refundable. If he had done his due diligence and saw that there were other issues that wouldn't allow my friend to be released but to transferred from one county jail to the next and then not refund my money is absurd, unethical and just is outright unprofessional and a scam. This was a quick attempt at making a quick buck because she also had another hold from a third jurisdiction that he said he didn't know about but a friend of mine who is a bondsman was able to see. He is scamming people out of thier money and I will not stop letting people know what he is doing until he reimburses me my $3500! It's not as if anyone was released to the streets. My friend has been scammed by this guy time and time again. If he would have been honest instead of trying to get over on people and hang someone's freedom over their head, he might just have a better rating review!! Not to mention, the people who were listed as cosigners on a bond with their home being put on the line just to make a quick buck! He gives bondmen a bad name and I will continue to fight for my money back 1,000%!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1
