A-1 Computer Repair

The highlight of my week was meeting Jeffrey and getting my laptop repaired. He did such a fantastic job and quickly, at an incredibly fair price.

I have read the one star reviews (which are very few compared to his glowing reviews, btw) and I think some people just have a sense of entitlement to how they think customer service or presentation should be in places where they don't set the rules. They are probably written by the same people that question seating policies in restaurants that have been in business since before they were born.

Bottom line is, Jeffrey knows his stuff and he is a character. When you are an expert in something, why waste time explaining your decades of knowledge to someone when you can just cut the fat? (He does explain, btw, but I think most people can't keep up with his knowledge)

He asks direct questions because he is trying to quickly and concisely determine what is NOT the issue so he can better diagnose the solution. I wish more people talked like he does.

And to anyone that criticized his office, you have probably never been in a workshop before. No frills, no BS, no reason to fluff it up just to make you feel something. It's engineering. I looked at other places nearby with flashy photographs of celebrities next to them and awards on the walls and the prices they charged... Most likely you would be charged like a celebrity and put on a wait list and asked to return later in the week, if at all. I'd much rather go to the genius in his workshop who isn't concerned with such meaningless aesthetics any day.

Thank you , Jeffrey - you saved the day and I can get back to work with my files and I saved thousands on what I thought I'd have to spend to get a new computer. I'd happily recommend everyone to Jeffrey for their computer repair needs.

Jeff at A-1 Computer is an upstanding and truly generous gentleman. I left a voicemail in regards to copying a folder onto a flash drive. Other businesses on Yelp requested $125 to $185 per hour to help me out. Jeff not only didn't request a fee, he just told me how to easily place the folder on the thumb drive while replying via phone to my voicemail. It was totally unexpected and unbelievably thoughtful on his part. Not one other computer business owner offered that the task was undeniably simple. If they didn't provide the service, they mentioned a fee that was almost extortion. I am so glad that Jeff responded to my call for help. By proving his honesty, I plan to always go straight to A-1 with all my computer needs. Jeff is not only top notch but a gentleman.

I cannot recommend Jeff enough. I'd rather have my things repaired to a good business and not some giant corporate place. Jeff fixed my Mac in record time and has a great personality to boot. Two thumbs up.

Came in today asking for a printer repair. Not only was the owner super rude, he was incredibly condescending. He had told me that the printer was dead either because of an electrical shock, or that the cartridge was blocked because the printer was idle. I knew for sure the cartridges were not blocked because the printer stopped working PRIOR to sitting idle and I even replaced them right then and there.

When I told him that, he literally asked me "Why is it such that when I ask you how long you left it idle you can't give me a straight answer?" Word for word. Seriously, who talks to their customers like that? I get annoyed and I leave, and he goes, "what you don't believe me?" and proceeds to go on a condescending rant about how I'm better off buying a new printer than repairing this one in front of another customer.

Look, I'm not saying his advice is wrong. Yes, I'm going to buy a new printer, but his delivery is so downright unprofessional and rude. Just don't bother with this place.

This guy. The only reason I put one star instead of none is because 1. I can't put 0 stars. 2. he had a little bit of humor. He was so rude though as many other people have said. Unprofessional and doesn't know a single thing about new gaming PCs. The office Is just a small room and it looks like it hasn't changed since the 90s. Hasn't been cleaned since then either. Waste of time. But his personality was so absurd that I had to laugh. At least I got a laugh out of it. Come to this place if you have a PC from the 90s and can handle a projecting bitter boomer. No hate tho

A1 was able to help and get my computer back up and running in a short amount time during a time crunch on a time sensitive project at work. If your having issues with your computer he is the man to call. I am very satisfied with the service and work.

I should've written this review many months ago because that's when we used A-1. Jefferey had come out to do a service call for our business computer. It turned out to be such a simple thing, yet he took the time to go through the process with us. He never made us feel inadequate in our lack of computer literacy. Because of this first experience we called him again months later when one of our laptops quit working.

Since this second time was less urgent & more complex, we left the laptop with him. He got it up & running, finishing it in the time he had said he needed & charging exactly what he had quoted. He has saved our business day & revived our laptop. Plus, his prices are fair. If we have future computer needs -- & I suspect we will -- Jefferey is the man we're going to call first.

Jeff is so kind. I called to have him take apart a PC build for me, something others quoted me at 2-300$ and he did it for so much cheaper and took me in right away. Also he rips at guitar which is just a bonus lol

I stopped by A-1 Computer Repair a couple of times relating to an issue with my desktop computer. On both occasions Jeff fixed the issue promptly and without hassle. I highly recommend the service!
