Purchased two refurbished computers from A1. Bob came to our house, set up and installed everything so they were ready to use when he left. A few weeks later, one of the fans in the computers stopped working, so Bob came back to my house that weekend to replace the fan.
Excellent communication between A1 and the customer, and excellent customer service from Bob.

Excuse me bob, I DID TELL YOU OVER THE PHONE. I told you windows locked up at whatever % . Our first phone call,when you ask for any other issue. I told you it locks up at whatever % and you recommended to back things up as best I could with it shutting down every 5 minutes. IT WAS LITERALLY THE ONLY OTHER ISSUE I HAD. 2nd phone I even said won't update it get stuck. The only thing you got right is I didn't mention Minecraft.
At the end of the day, I'm down $227 and still had the issues. Felt no difference when I checked it in.
Frankly, I will rather be refunded that $100 than go with any service.
This is a real experience people.
Never trust 5-star ratings.

2nd Reply: Replying to bob's remark, the windows is still not fixed. It still stuck at 61% when trying to update. Nothing changed (see attached photo. excuse me if it posted twice, Idon't know how yelp works), I still can't install windows Minecraft.
My experience so far is Charged $200+ just to pop out the graphics card and run it a temp for 2 hours is ridiculous. Students beware!

I didn't feel like I got the bare minimum. Over the phone said they "could" save/clean the graphics card or replace the fan but end up just replacing it out of pocket. But you never told me you couldn't install Minecraft. Since it said Windows 10 needed updated. And you don't remember telling me Windows locked-up when you tried to update it. Since if I would have known about your 2 other problems, I would have told my tech to try to update it, after he checked it for disk errors, then scanned, found & fixed all of its 18 month or older Windows 10 corrupted files. But it's impossible for anyone to check & fix every unknown problem. Since it would take forever.
So I'll remotely try to update your Windows 10 custom-built tower gaming Computer to the latest Windows 10 version, with all of its latest updates & Microsoft Store updates, for FREE, even though it normally takes an hour or more. And my company normally charges at least $100 for it. Since we want all of our clients to always be satisfied with our service.
OUR FIRST REPLY:
He told me he thought his gaming tower Computer Graphics Card may be overheating. I told him if it was overheating from its Fan problem that it could cause its problem. And I told him we could replace it with a new Fan, IF it was replaceable & IF we had one in stock. But his GPU fans weren't replaceable.
So my tech temporarily replaced his gaming Graphics Card with one of ours. And it never locked-up or crashed, like it did when his card was installed. We also told him our price for our least expensive gaming Graphics Card, that was close to his older model's speed. But he told me his friend had a used one he upgraded from, that he would buy from him.
We also checked his computer for Disk errors & checked & fixed all of its Windows errors. And we updated Windows 10 to its latest version with its latest updates, to help prevent more Internet & software problems longer.
He saw it working reliably with our gaming Graphics Card before he paid for it. And it took at least our 2-hour minimum time to Test & diagnose it. But he never asked if we had a Student Discount. Or I would have given him our 10% Student Service Discount, if I knew he was a student. I also told him everything we did that I described here. So I don't think we did anything wrong. Bob did a great job overhauling our older computers. He was able to extend the life of 2 work horse machines another few years. He did the work over the weekend and delivered my fixed machines on a Sunday afternoon. The turn around time was less than 24 hours including a reinstall of data and operating system.

Thanks Eric for all of your 5-Star reviews! We can repair all except major problems at your home or office. But sometimes our flat-rate service is less expensive, if we just pick it up, fix it & drop it off for FREE! Then you can test it to make sure everything we repaired is working before you pay for it. We also do 24/7 Windows computer service, which many of our competitors don't do.
Aug 20, 2019Previous reviewAs a return customer, I can say that this company is very reliable. I had an office machine whose drive went wrong on a Friday. A1 not only took the rush work but was not unreasonable in their pricing. A1 had everything repaired before the weekend was over. The machine was noticeably faster, but they were able to save the data from the crashed drive. Their excellent results prompted me to take my personal computer in for an upgrade! Great job, A1!

My technician was able to pick up, repair and deliver my companie's file server power supply in less than 24 hours, over a weekend, at a very fair price with no usurious markups for the emergency service. A1 is a staple of the community. I suggest you give them a call.

I was just about to bring my laptop to Bob to be fixed but then the problem resolved itself at home and therefore I did not end up needing his services. But I would recommend him to anybody in the Riverside area who needs their computer fixed. He is obviously knowledgeable and very customer service service oriented. If I have any issues with my computer in the future I will give A1 my business.

Spoke by phone to Bob about a printer problem I am having. Bob mentioned he does not deal with printer problems and I fully expect#d that would be the end of the call. But no! Bob spent quite q while suggesting several ways I could fix te problem myself. This is more than bare-minimum customer service...and I am not even a customer! It is a pleasure to applaud such a business.

So rude I don't get it worst customer service ever. Well at least the guy working at 7:15 am
I'm pretty sure I'm being spied on in this motel and I he did state they only fix compiyrto and my problem had to do with a mini computer
I i understand its super early and it's not his exact expertise but you'd think if he worked in a computer store he'd at least listen to my very serious question and if he didn't know the answer tell me at the end instead of abruptly and rudely interrupting me I've already been getting spied on for 4 days and to have someone treat me like this when I was nothing but nice and polite he even hung up on the middle of me telling him thank you have good...

I'm sorry you thought I was rude. But our company name is "A1 Computer - Windows Mobile/Remote Repairs/Parts". And I told you twice that we only fix Windows computers. But you said "my problem had to do with a mini computer." You also said you had an iPhone & saw a green light between cracks in a mirror.
And you asked if someone could be recording you. I said I doubt anyone would not cover a recording light if they were recording. And I also recommended calling a Private Investigator. You then apologized for bothering me. So I'm sorry if I hung-up before the end of your last sentence. But I was late leaving for a meeting then.

My work computers motherboard went out. It had my payroll software on it and payroll was due on Wednesday! The back up we had wouldn't work. We turned to Yelp to find someone to help with data recovery at 7pm on Tuesday night. Bob replied immediately! I told him about the bind I was in. He offered to do the work that night! I was able to get him the bad computer within 30 minutes. Bob went to work on it. He called me to go over a few things when he was doing the data transfer. I was able to buy a refurbished tower from him instead of buying a new computer. His wife delivered the computer to me the next day!! I plugged the pc in and was able to process payroll just in time. I couldn't have done it without Bob at A1 Computer Service and Parts. I really appreciate that he was willing to work after hours for an affordable rate. He saved me from having some upset employees. In this time where good service is hard to come by, Bob proved that amazing service still exists. Call him for any computer needs!!!

Thanks Wayne you for your updated 5-Star review! With our over 36 years experience, we always try to do better overall & more complete service with parts, if necessary, than our competitors. And we can do most of our service and sell parts for a flat-rate. So you always know how much your total cost will be before you approve our service.
Feb 23, 2019Previous reviewHad a 8 year old Dell computer and the HD failed. Bob the Owner verified the failure and installed a new HD, including Windows 10, backed all my files and transferred to new drive. He also installed new security software. Work was done timely and professionally. I would recommend A1 Computer if you have any computer problems.
