Come to find out this place is great
Dr Kevin and he's assistants were beyond professional and helpful honest and caring
The receptionist Irene was very helpful and knew the answers to all my insurance questions made it easier for me to choose my future visits as well
Highly recommend checking this dental location
Definitely will be going back for more dental procedures

I've waited for 1 hour and 10 mins for a regular check up and cleaning, but the doctor is helping some emergency customers that cut my line. As a result I have to wait for another 30 minutes. What a joke. I will never come back. And I do not recommend this place.

I am not the type to go out of my way to leave reviews but they are seriously amazing. I always get anxious when going to the dentist.. from the procedures to the price... they truly go out of their way. Thank you, Aava dental :)

I an a new patient at this dentist office and I am so glad I was able to find this provider. They were quick, painless, considerate and the customer service was amazing. I broke my retainer and needed one ASAP, not only did they give me an apt the next day but I got my retainer within 4 hours!! They have great promo deals and work well with PPO insurance! I would highly recommend this dentist office, Irene at the front desk is a sweetheart and the whole staff is very friendly.

It's been 6 months since my last x-ray and they told me they are required to give me another x-ray or they can't give me the 6-month cleaning. I'm very disappointed. I already think yearly x-ray is a lot but every 6months x-ray? That's crazy especially when nothing is wrong with my teeth. They didn't even offer an x-ray refusal form.

I never experienced this in other dentist offices. The place is no-fuss and the services are excellent. Everyone was very kind and I'm glad I came here!

Another update, the partial crown aava dental office put on me cracked in half in my mouth this weekend. The partial crown they put on me is not strong or durable (second time it broke, first time it broke in my mouth while the dentist was putting it in, they ordered a new one and this one just broke). I had to go to another dentist to get it taken care of, but looks like Aava dentist billed my insurance for a full crown instead of a partial crown in 2020, so now that I need a new crown put in insurance will not pay for it (there's a limit of one every 5 years), and now I have to pay over $1000 out of pocket for something that they should've taken care of.

I should've known not to trust the reviews when they offered a I think $200 discount if you write a review on the first visit- most people would probably write a positive review while they're sitting there in the office, plus everyone was super friendly, so I gave a positive review, but I made it clear it was based on the positive interaction, since I can't speak to the work yet.
However, turns out my actual experience with the work was horrible. A little background, I am almost 40, and have been to countless dentists and have had my share of cavities filled and a few tooth capped. I've never had such a difficult experience.
First off, I came in for slight discomfort in one area. Dr. Aaron Au took an xray and suggested I also do preventative care and fix a small cavity that may become an issue on the opposite side that wasn't hurting. I foolishly agreed, and since then, I've had discomfort on that side (the side that had absolutely no problems).
It also took approximately 8-10 visits to get one cavity filled and a cap done. The discomfort persists each time, and Dr. Aaron Au would tell me it takes 2-3 months(!) to settle in sometimes. Again, I have had caps put in before and the most it took was like a day or 2 to feel comfortable. There was even one time I came in and the newly finished cap shattered in my mouth as he was trying to put it on.
Another thing to mention- I also wear a retainer, so since he capped my tooth the retainer did not fit, and when I brought my retainer in, Dr. Au just manually bent my retainer so it would kind of fit. I asked if he could adjust it better so it fits better, and he said he doesn't really know how to do that and I would need to make an appointment with a specialist. well, I wish he didn't bend my retainer because now it doesn't have a tight fit. And if anyone wears a retainer, you'd know the fit is super important because it affects how your teeth align. Now my retainer doesn't sit right, and there's pain the next morning when I wear it.
I waited to write this review, but 2 years and several adjustments later, I still have discomfort. I can longer eat the same, I can't chew anything hard or it hurts.
At this point I'm choosing not to go back for them to fix the problems they caused, but rather just go somewhere else and pay all the costs all over. I regret coming here because it definitely negatively impacted my quality of life and I can no longer chew the same without discomfort. All I can say is, don't trust the positive reviews when there was cash incentive at first visit (when no work was done yet).Mar 14, 2020Previous reviewHad a great experience here right from the beginning. The lady that called to remind me of my appointment was super friendly and already left me with a great impression of this office before I came in for my appointment. The day of my appointment all of the staff I interacted with (the receptionist, financial person Ana, Rebecca, keshia, jamila, dr. Aaron Au), were extremely friendly, helpful, and made the trip to the dentist comfortable and pleasant. I'm glad I found this dentist, and will be coming back for future dental care.

Front desk ladies Ana and Irene are so sweet and sensitive to your needs. Have had an amazing experience. No extra work need it only what I went there for. They are their to take care of you and not to rob you. Josephine is amazing at what she does Ortho. Very sweet and gentle. Dr. Abraham runs an honest and fair Union dental office. Recommend to all my family and friends. Thanks Dr. Abraham and staff .
