Came in for a full body scan to make sure I don't have any cancerous skin issues I haven't noticed.

There are 6 or so dermatologists here and I had appt with Dr Au but for some reason saw the P. A., no explanation given and I didn't ask.

These exams are so awkward, you're naked and the exam is so brisk and abrupt you almost feel violated! When I did one decades ago, that too was very awkward; nothing's changed.

I did have 1 dark freckle under my R boob she wanted to biopsy; she freezes it then cuts a tad out.

As a lifelong eczema sufferer, I'm at my wit's end with the condition. I can count the number of specialists I've seen on my hands and even feet.

It's my hope that Advanced Dermatology will be the last place I go to. Given the clinic is practically brand new, its cleanliness and ambience put me at ease. I felt like I wasn't waiting to see the doctor at all.

And here's something that put a smile on my face -- the front desk offered me a complimentary Diet Coke. I've never experienced such hospitality at a healthcare facility before.

I really appreciate Dr. Ashley Pezzi's honesty and concern when it came to diagnosing my condition. She was also knowledgeable. My fingers are crossed that she's able to secure this medication -- one I've never been on before -- for me.

Why not a five-star? I'm going to see how my skin fares from the efforts of this place first.

BE AWARE:

I went in to get a cyst removed above my eye. They wouldn't give me the cost or even a range of cost for it - I had to go in. So I waited for 3 weeks for the appointment. I go in - and no - I'm not getting the cyst removed, I'm seeing a Dr to confirm that I need the cyst removed, and there's a fee for that visit. Then I had to setup another appointment for the actual cyst removal. Ok - what's the cost for that visit? They tell me - we'll have someone call. No one calls. So I call, leave a message, call and leave a message. NEVER GOT A RETURN CALL. When did I find out the amount? On the day of the procedure. As a cash non-insurance payer - that could be hard.

I had the procedure - and on a side note - that experience was horrible. I'm actually in worst shape now then when I started - but that's not what this review is about.

After they removed the cyst - they said they would be sending that off to the lab to check for cancer. I asked - is that included in the cost? No. How much would it be - as I'm a cash payer? Daisey - the nurse said $40 - $50. Months pass by - and I get no bill (which Advanced Dermatology will remind you - you signed documents saying you will pay all 3rd party bills). And of course I did sign - but that authorization was based on the Advanced Dermatology staff quoting $40-$50.

The bill came in at $2,000! After I called UT 4 times - they reduced it to $460.
I called Advanced Dermatology asking for a supervisor. They had their staff person "Sierra" call - and the answer was - no - a supervisor won't be calling, and there's nothing they can do. This was not the way to treat a disabled Vet or anyone for that matter.

Opinion: DO NOT go there. If you do - getting every price in writing prior to doing any business with them.

You wouldn't think you need to go to that extent with a company that names themselves "Advanced" but apparently you do.

Saw Sharon for the first time as Amber is working out of the Sugarland office now. Sharon is so sweet, generous, loving, caring, and makes you feel very comfortable! She did my 3rd IPL, and Dermaplaning, and even followed up with the next day to see how I was doing! So sweet and really cares! Highly recommend! Can't wait to see Sharon again for my last IPL treatment, then I'll be ready for some facials!

Having grown up in the sun, and spending a good bit of the late 90's to 2010 tanning in a tanning bed 5 days a week (to be fair, we didn't know better!), and after having noticed a couple of spots that seemed out of place on my shins, I felt it was time to get my skin checked.

I made an appt with Advanced Dermatology League City and secured an appt. The facility is welcoming and gorgeous inside, and the receptionist was super sweet.

Once called back, Monica and Dr Fricke started the examination. Dr Fricke is adorable and has such a great bedside manner. She checked my body, and sure enough, one of the two spots I was concerned about was deemed "atypical", and thus required a biopsy. This also put me on mandatory, annual skin examinations, and Dr Fricke said it would be more if my mole came back positive.

Less than 2 weeks and I have my results back, and thankfully, it's benign! So I will see them again next year.

If you I can urge you one thing, do not hesitate to get your skin checked, especially if you were a sun worshiper like I was an a teenager and young adult - it could save your life!

I highly recommend Dr Fricke and Advanced Dermatology League City!!

All I can say is wow!!! The facility is clean, everyone is kind and professional, on time with their appointment, the staff listens to your needs, and you get amazing results!! What more can you ask for! I've been struggling with acne and acne scars for over 10 years, and after one micro needling treatment a week ago, my skin has looked better than it's ever have the last decade.
My insurance covers the medical dermatology portion, but the cosmetic portion for micro needling is out of pocket and they are pricier than other places but totally worth it!

Treatment for mild acne was very good. The Coolsculpting did not reduce the fat on my chin at all. People are all very nice. Clinic is very clean.

Highly recommend this place! I saw Dr. Pezzi and she was great!! She was very helpful as well as the staff there.

This is without a doubt the absolute WORST not only dermatology clinic but medical facility of any kind I have had the misfortune of ever stepping foot into in my entire life !!! This place is an absolute clusterf---. The one and ONLY good thing they had going for them was Dr. Fricke and she is no longer there. In my opinion she was WAY too good for this crappy place ! Let's start with the people who work the front deck. They have no clue about whether they are owed money for an office visit or not. I have payed them my copay and then on a follow up visit they say I have a credit. Ok, so I don't pay them. Then comes the next follow up and they say I owe them $40 because I didn't pay last time. WTF ? I pay them and this happens so many times that I just pay them and keep better records for myself because they obviously can't. Next let's talk about them calling in a prescription for you. They are so stupid they can't do that right. If it's not them calling in something to the wrong location (Deer Park) which I have no earthly idea how that could ever happen because they DID have the correct pharmacy because they apologized and said they were not sure how that happened or they just forget to call it in at all. YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN'T GET ANYBODY ON THE PHONE TO CORRECT THAT so I had to drive up there and get them to send it in. Again I heard the same old BS , I am so sorry we just were so busy or we must have forgot to. I say they are either stupid or just don't care. Now onto the next thing that made me uncomfortable. The older women there, I think she might be over the staff was so rude to one of the girls at the front in front of patients waiting for there appointment. So classy !!! Now onto the extremely rude doctor who took over for me from DR. Fricke and he is Dr. Marzuka. He has the personality in my opinion of paint drying on the wall and never wanted to answer any questions and when he did I felt talked down to. Hey, it's my money and time and the least you can do is not act so disinterested. Let's move on now to the latest thing that has happened, billing. I get a letter stating I have a credit of $20 and I can come in for a free office visit. The letter said I had a gift card on my account for $20 so I could schedule something now or in the future and that would take care of my copay. What do you think I did, that's right I politely said no and told her why and she said sorry for your experiences and that they could just credit my Visa card and that would be that. She said just give it at least 5-7 business days and that would be that. GUESS WHAT, WAIT FOR IT, THAT'S RIGHT NO CREDIT !!!! I could not believe it (just kidding). I ask why and she said that they were waiting on BCBS to pay for something back in August. WTF !!! I call her out on that and then she says that BCBS was waiting on some record from them not me or BCBS fault. I ask her then why didn't she call and let me know instead of having me call my credit card company and use my valuable time to find out if it was a glitch or ? You know what answer I got, I am so sorry but I have been swamped, wa wa wa .Cry me a river. If they do this to enough people they could actually make a little extra money. I told her at this point I didn't care about the money just so long as I NEVER EVER HERE FROM THEM AGAIN. I guess they are $20 to the good so more power to them. Do yourself a favor and go to ANYBODY,ANYBODY BUT THESE PEOPLE for your dermatology needs !!!!!!!!!!
