I should have read the reviews before hiring this company for my move. I have moved 5 times in the last 6 years, and this has been the worse experience I have had with how they handled my personal belongings and how they moved like snails because they were being paid by the hour. What had been taking no more than 4-5 hours with other movers, took 11 hours with this company. They were careless with my things. The two pieces that were most important to me, I should have taken the time to wrap them myself but didn't because of the confidence they had when they said I had nothing to worry about. They would wrap them, and they would be fine. Now I have a dent in the wood of my standalone fireplace/TV stand, a gouge in the side, and a tear in the material of my brand-new massage chair that I just bought and are still making payments. They asked me if I had the original boxes for my TV's. When I told them "No", they said, "No problem, we will wrap them with a blanket to keep them safe". They never wrapped anything!! They asked me before they got started if I needed them to wrap anything with "their" mover's saran wrap. I showed them I had a roll that they could use. I guess that meant not to wrap anything to them. I tried to contact the owner Mike, then his son Darius, but neither have returned my text. I gave them 2 stars because the two movers that came out were very respectful. It seemed like it was a newer position for the younger man and the older gentleman was in charge but shouldn't have been working because he had just had surgery on his eye and shouldn't have been lifting anything with weight. I have learned a valuable lesson. I hope that this review helps someone else.

Worst!!! Items from storage never arrived at home. Not an ethical company! Backed a truck into my house and refused to repair.

After speaking with Mike at length we agreed on a date and time to move my belongings from storage facility to my home. The movers showed up with trucks and 3 workers. They didn't seem to be in a rush (I had agreed to the hourly rate but had been assured they were professionals who would not take advantage of the situation) to move things. I left them at the storage facility and went to open my house to wait for them. Mike had assured me the move wouldn't take long even though I had told him there were 3 storage units as well as items at a private residence that would need to be moved. There were several instances of them being rough with unloading belongings that I tried as gently as possible to as that they take a little more care (one case being they were so rough on an antique tool box that to top came off and the front split), they also smoked in my house, took personal phone calls and used really vulgar language. When they went back to the storage unit the second time they said the key would not work for unit 2 (although I had just been there and used the key before giving it to them) so they could not load that unit and only brought the smallest units contents. I spoke to Mike and he assured me the crew would be back in the morning to get the contents from unit 2 (I had to drive back up to the storage facility to check the lock and put a different one one since they had trouble with the first one). The crew had the only key to that lock from that point on. The following day they picked up storage items and came to my home to unload. They said they swept out units and put lock back on 2nd unit. The failed to leave me the key. During the second day they again smoked in the house, cursed and used graphic vulgar language as well as being completely unprofessional in their unloading. Many of my belongings were damaged (photos can be provided) and some items were missing. I had taken a picture of the second unit when we opened it and several of the items clearly shown never made it to my home. I have had to pay for another months storage due to the mess they left in one (photos provided). In the 1st unit they left a few of my belongings in a heap of "trash" as well as the shattered remains of a vintage 5 gallon glass water jug that had been filled with my fathers pocket change from over 20 years. I found a few of the coins in the debris on the floor of the unit when I went back to check to see if the missing items might still be in any of the units. In the process of backing into my driveway one of the drivers also hit the corner of my house which dented the siding and knocked it off the house. I spoke with Mike and he assured he would have someone come out and repair the siding. I have texts to back up this information. He has not contacted me to do this or to resolve any of the other matters. I have tried to resolve this with the owner but he is not responding to my calls or texts. - Brian A.SoMa, San Francisco, CA014Jun 20, 2021
I have been in the military for over 20 years, by the way the owner brags about his military service as he is messing over fellow service members. I have moved approximately 12 times and this is by far the worst moving company i have ever worked for. They showed up late, purposely took their time since i was paying by the hour. The owner states he is responsible for all damages. His moving team did over $17000 in damages, but after multiple attempts to reach him personally, then by the storage unit who referred him, and by my attorney. His wife answers his phone and states he is out of the country. He has been removed from the trusted movers network due to his non compliance of paying for damaging people's items. Please do not be scammed by this crook. I have pictures, receipts, witnesses, and the storage unit had video surveillance to back this all up.
They damaged my stuff back on April 2nd 2021 and it is now 2.5 months later and still no response from the owner and no willingness to take responsibility and pay for the damages as he promised he would do. Please avoid this company at all costs. I dont wish anyone to have to experience what me and my family experienced dealing with this unprofessional company.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bbli P.Virginia Beach, VA01Aug 18, 2022
Never again will I use this company. I've utilized them 2 times over the years before and was very pleased that is why I used them again. This time was a complete mess. What should've taken 4 to 5 hours took them 7 hours to move my stuff into a storage unit. First issue they were really late. Scheduled for 9:00 am. Mike did call the night before stating they would be late however I didn't think they would be that late. They got there at 1:35 pm. The constant bickering back and forth amongst the movers was absolutely ridiculous. One of the movers told me the Christmas tree which was in my storage shed looked like something ate through it and I told him it was trash. He just left it in the middle of the yard and didn't even tell me left it so i didn't see it until the next day. In addition they left a chair leaning against the house which should've went to the storage unit. I just tried to get back into my storage unit it was a struggle even to get the door opened. Once opened I immediately noticed a bed frame on my TV. In addition my dressor is on top of something. I purchased plastic covers to go over all of my mattresses and box springs. In the picture this one doesn't have it on there. Where is it? I just don't understand the logic of these movers. I wrote a lengthy email with pictures to Michael Hairston and I've yet to get a respond. I'm really nervous to find out what Im going to find once the storage unit is emptied. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I found this company on Thumbtack and used them 9/11/16.
This is been the most horrible and unprofessional experience ever! I cried because of all of the damage even prior to the movers leaving! They took even more time than required! Example: 2 men took more than 30+ minutes just to shrink wrap my dresser and mirror. They are both extremely damaged! The movers even tried to cover some of the damage with a box. I have over 10 items damaged and that doesn't even include damage to my walls! They completely broke my bookshelf and didn't even try to put it back together. My bed was not put together back right and now I don't know what to do. My dresser is not put together properly as well and the drawers could be broken now.
I've used this company before, so before booking I expressed my concerns thinking they would do a better job because I was assured of it by James who did the booking.
I am now trying to recoup some of the money for the damages, however I am getting the run around and not having anyone follow back up with me. I am beyond frustrated and upset with the service I received.
I do not recommend this company to anyone! I was told the owner would call me Monday when get got back into the office, which was in 1 hour. The next day I'm told he was out of town and they are waiting to speak with the insurance company before contacting me back. What a joke!
FYI...Insult to injury we have to hire another moving company just to get the rest of our items.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sherri N.Manakin-Sabot, VA07Jul 6, 2019
July 6, 2019 -- My son just used this company for moving and they broke a $3,000 marble coffee table in two. We are in the process of trying to get them to make an insurance claim to replace it but they are avoiding both of us. They are ignoring calls, texts and emails. Before my son paid the guys, he took pictures of them holding both pieces of the table. He also had them sign his invoice acknowledging the damage. Finally, he had the moving men contact the owner and request an email stating that they would cover the damage -- and he DID send the email in order to get paid. We have all of that but yet they KEEP avoiding both of us. I will update this review when they make it right.

Unlike most people here we had a great experience. Movers Rick & Fleet moved is out of our 1 bedroom apartment to a 2 bedroom apt in an hour and a half. They were nice, punctual and hard working. Thank you again!

These guys were very helpful in moving my piano. They were on time and I requested for my piano to be moved in the morning at 9am. Nothing was damaged and they were careful with moving my spinet piano. The price was $267, which was a bit pricey because I know someone else who could move it for $250 but the other people did not have a flexible schedule like these movers. Very kind men and I highly recommend if you need a piano moved.

These guys were terrible and will not contact us. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.
We provided our own truck but were charged the same rate as if they used theirs last Sunday 6-25.
We were told that they would have moving equipment such as a dolly and blankets and tools to help move. The movers had none of that and that seriously increased the moving time. I actually had to drive to the hardware store and purchase a wrench for the washer and dryer.
We also had to drive back to our old home twice, once to get a bed rail that they "forgot" and once to get their paperwork which also was forgotten. Obviously this added time.
When they finally were done, after it took them 45 minutes to put the bed together, they wanted us to give them our credit card # and text it to their office. 2017 and no credit card authorization.
We gave them a poor rating on the survey and asked for a call on 6-26. No call. We then texted Ashley twice once on 6-27 and once on 6-28 and no response. Finally we called Ashley, and she stated she would have Mike call us back on Thursday 6-29 and try to send someone out to redo the washer since that hook up was inadequate. Still crickets.
I am never a person to complain on line because, this type of work is difficult I know. Their inaction forced me to do this.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rainey H.San Francisco, CA01Sep 21, 2020
If I could rate zero stars, I would. The guys that came to move my furniture were CLEARLY AMATEURS! Not 1 piece of the significant amount of furniture I had moved made it out with some kind of damage or without hitting a wall on the way. I had to TEACH them how to get a queen box spring up the stairs. Just a complete disaster. Owner "Mr. Mike" did not seem to care as he refused to answer my texts or call me back. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY FOR MOVING SERVICES!!!
