Allstar Moving & Delivery

As a Prince of Procrastination, I've been busting my butt in packing to get ready to move, yet again (2x in less than 13 months).

I had originally been scheduled to move on Thursday, 9/24. But, due to a 25% chance of rain, and, insofar as I was concerned, a serious health code violation at my old complex, I wanted to get out ASAP!

Unfortunately, my plans to move Sunday, or Monday, didn't work out.

So, yesterday morning (Monday, 9/21), I called AllStar Moving. Unfortunately, no one picked up. So, I left a message.

My call was returned about 2 hours later. :-)

I told the guy, I need to move ASAP. Can you do anything to help me accomplish this?

After telling him where I live, and where I was moving to, he said either Tuesday, or Wednesday. :-o

Because of my hearing problem, I clarified by asking, Tuesday? As in tomorrow, 9/22?

And, he said, Yes (all giddy inside).

After getting the arrival time down, and finding out the estimated cost (3 guys + the truck), I agreed to have use their services.

At about 10:40A.M., my cellphone rang. After picking up, the caller was one of the movers informing me that they would be there in about 1-1.5 hours.

Well, they arrived just before noon. I showed them what goes, and what stays. And, they did their thing.

The guys introduced themselves. And, they were friendly. Yet, professional. And, once they got going, they didn't stop.

I know they were tired. Because, I was their 2nd job of the day. And, taking only 4.5 minutes to get to my new place, they didn't get much of a break.

Since it's a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment (moving into a 2/2, and only taking bulk items, and packed (much still packed from my AZ to GA move on 8/28/19) boxes, it didn't take them very long (I still have several small things, and can goods to bring over).

I was given an estimate of 3 to 4 hours; they were done in 2.5 hours!

Even the movers commented on how nice my new place is (especially, compared to the old place).

So, the move itself cost me $385.00 (the same time for the other place, would have cost me $500.00).

In Georgia, while not a requirement, tipping is allowed.

So, since there were 3 guys, I gave them each, $20.00 beer money. ;-) But, I told them, not until after you clock out.

For sure, I'll keep them in mind for my next move (yes, I do have at least 1 more move to do; maybe 2 or 3).

Called them a month ago for Sept. 2. "Dan" confirmed the day before and said the movers would be there between 9:00-9:30. At 9:45, I tried calling and it went to voicemail with the mailbox full. One man/Brandon called saying he was unable to get the rental van (they don't have a truck?!) and couldn't get another person either. He said he would come Sunday @ 2:00 with a trailer and another person. On Sunday I called him at 2:15 and he texted he was unable to get the trailer or the other person. Just by the grace of God, a friend had a trailer and my son asked some friends at the last minute to help. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!!!!

I used them once in the past. The owner told me one rate over the phone and when the movers got here they charged something different. I love dealing with honest people and it's just hard to find that.

I cannot express my gratitude enough. These guys are the absolute best movers I have ever had! They arrived on time, were so cool to hang with and super professional, packed my 1300 sq ft apartment in macon up in under 2 hours... and met us in buckhead right after we got there. We had to get creative and they worked with us to unload into our patio rather than buzz into our parking garage! They worked tirelessly even though we all had no water or food for hours. Damien was one of the hardest workout men ever of the group, even unloading a desk heavier than anything.... I called the owner this evening to thank him for having such amazing people! We just hope we tipped them enough bc we wish we could do more! Great guys,price less than half of the competitors and this is a mom and pop owned company.

Showed up in macon at 9am and were done by 2pm in buckhead.

Support them! You will not be disappointed! We plan to use them even if we move here in atl!

New job brought me to Macon . Used this company for my intrastate move (Atl to Macon) and they were wonderful. I'd definitely recommend to others and let my HR dept know since they list this company on our Co site.
I did not have any of price/rate issues other listed they told me up front of the 5% surcharge on cc and the preference to split out the movers tip from the move bill. If I move again I will contact them first.

We moved from Woodstock Ga. to Lizella Ga. with a 2 day gap in between the locations before we could move into our home. The owner was more than accommodating without breaking the bank. Ricky and his crew were amazingly efficient, friendly and stress free! We couldn't move in until after 3pm on a Friday and Ricky came with 4 of his crew members and got the job done. We were missing 2 important items and Ricky personally found them and brought it to our home. Thanks Allstar!!!

I have used this company in the past more than once though my husband set up the appointment he didn't mention any bad vibes and the movers who came were all about the business. They came in were respectful of us, our children and our belongings. They didn't slack around and caused the move to take longer than the allotted time. I attempted to call them for a more recent move but they are BOOKED.
Customer service is always a deal maker and respect goes a long way.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I had a bad experience two years ago and I would like to give them a second chance. This past week was another bad experience with this company. The owner is not transparent with cost towards its customers. They failed to keep up their promises by taking care of customers' belongings and ended up with major damages. Please shop carefully before choosing this company.

I cannot express enough how uncomfortable I was and the racially charged words geared towards me. Good luck to anyone who hires them, and hopefully you will have a different experience than I did. I was referred to them by a friend, and the service was less than desirable. I simply attempted to hire PROFESSIONAL movers, and PROFESSIONALISM was not received.

I usually don't leave reviews but I had no choice! After moving here for a job, I used this service and was completely horrified with my customer service experience. The owner was extremely rude, did not adhere to basic CDC recommendations (wearing a mask during a pandemic) and quite frankly he was overtly racist. I am urging everyone not to waste time or money at this trashy, unprofessional business.
