I have not at any time made any falsehoods or slandered anyone. my lips in those pictures speak for themselves and have not been altered in any way shape form or fashion (nice try though) and for the record I did visit the shaw center and visited with Dr Shaws injection specialist (so you need to get your facts straight instead digging deeper holes and making yourself look worse) Regardless of the back and forth nonsense I just want to make not that I DID get a FULL refund FINALLY and YES various attempts and formal requests for refunds were made via phone conversations and text messages to no avail before I had to request a charge back from my credit card company.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Business owner information

I would like to respond by stating that as a disabled veteran I have served to support and defend the constitution of the United States and am a strong believer of the freedom of speech. Unfortunately, this freedom allows for information to be disseminated regardless of truth or fact. As a physician I strive to comply with the ethical, professional and legal obligations to my patients. For this reason, it would be unprofessional, unethical and illegal for me to comment regarding the personal details of any patients visits.
The policy of the practice is to respond to all and any concerns of every patient regardless of the basis their concern. In every instance in which the above patient contacted me I responded promptly. All treatments are administered using proper protocols and are completely documented. Photos while visual can be manipulated by movement and facial expressions and are therefore subject to posing by the subject. (Patient confidentiality prohibits me from posting photos taken demonstrating actual results).
The results of cosmetic treatments are by nature subjective to the individual and therefore by policy not subject to refund. In this case, the patient was treated on several occasions (free of charge) in an attempt to achieve whatever results expected by the patient. Furthermore, there was never a formal request for refund. Rather a threat of using social media to obtain a refund was made via yelp mail. It is the policy of the office not to respond to threats via pressure from social media.
As an additional note, I suggested that a consult with another practitioner might be in order so that the nature of the complaint could but allayed. It appears that the patient took this advice and was seen at the Shaw Center. After following up with the above stated Dr. Shaw, I found that the patient never did see the doctor but in fact was seen by a staff member and that the above comments regarding her visit to the well respected Shaw Center, are fabricated and completely inaccurate.
Finally, my personal and professional life are not one in the same. Federal laws prohibit discussing patient information with anyone including family. Using, social media to attack my family, specifically my wife is not only irresponsible it is reprehensible. Your professional relationship with my wife has nothing to do with your relationship to my office. Utilizing social media and complaining to staff in your workplace in an attempt to discredit and embarrass my family, while subsequently slandering my practice in an attempt to manipulate a refund, only serves to reveal your personal character.
It is my hope that the freedom of speech which so many have fought for and so many continue to fight for, be utilized in a more productive manner. I wish you well as you move forward.

To be clear, anyone reading your original comment can see where you stated "Dr Shaw's opinion from The Shaw Center" in referencing your complaint. In fact, the person you saw was a nurse and not the doctor himself. The title of "injection specialist" can be given to anyone trained to inject. You DID NOT in fact see Dr. Shaw himself as your comment implied. The person you did see in no way represents Dr. Shaw's opinion. Your attempts to get a written statement supporting your claims from the person you did see failed, leaving you with an unsubstantiated complaint.
I am indeed happy for you if in fact your credit card company reimbursed you. My office policy remains the same and I stand by my original statement.

I am writing to kindly ask you again for a full refund of the $175 for the upper lip injections. Dr Shaw's opinion from The Shaw Center... (after seeing my photos) was that the injections were done incorrectly and that my lips indeed looked normal before the procedure and considerably deformed after the injections were administered as well as the SEVERAL attempts to dissolve. (the injections should have been administered directly into the lip NOT above them)!
I have been traumatized by this whole experience and am very disappointed with the fact that you fail to take ownership of this issue and do the right thing and refund my money. (that's the least you could do after what I've been through) I do appreciate your attempts at dissolving the injections BUT that doesn't change the situation or help with the $175 I was charged or the physical and emotional damage this experience has caused.
I'm hoping you change your mind upon taking this into further consideration.
HE NEVER RESPONDED and his wife (a friend from work) deleted me on Facebook. This entire ordeal was handled unprofessionally and I want it known that if you are seeking fillers or injections of any kind NOT to go here! He doesn't document anything either which is important...probably one of the reasons why he never got enough botox in my forehead to last long enough bc he just guessed each time.

Nic P.Manhattan, New York, NY317721416Nov 28, 2016A 'friend' recommended 'Dr. O' to me for a small amount of Botox and also some prolotherapy for a hand injury.
I went in and met Dr. O and felt like he was holding onto the last vestiges of the Miami Vice era. Shirt unbuttoned down to the middle of his chest, very slick, jewelry, weirdly flirty, etc. My hand hurt and I really wanted to try Botox for the first time so I ignored him when he said he didn't talk about other clients then proceeded to talk about other clients.
Anyway.
The prolotherapy worked somewhat for my hand. It felt better, but it didn't really speed healing, just took away an ache that I had in my hand.
As for Botox, let me tell you that you should never, ever see this person for Botox (or anything, really). I went in on 9/18. By 11/20 it was wearing off at an alarming rate of speed. He used an inordinate amount (HE SAID), but when I asked for an itemized receipt he failed to give that to me so I am positive I was ripped off. Botox should really last longer than 7-9 weeks. I paid $700 for these procedures and got totally ripped off.
When I texted him to speak to him about this he blew me off and refused to discuss the matter. So, bad customer service, overcharged/under-delivered, sleazy. Well, no thanks, I think I'll pass.
I am going to call and complain about this guy. He is AWFUL. I mean, how many bad reviews do you have to read before you realize you're dealing with a conman?

I've gone to multiple doctors and they all said surgery for my shoulder. A few treatments with Dr. Ortiz has avoided my having to have surgery.
They don't make doctors like this anymore. He's very thorough, explains everything, follows up with his patients, and shows a genuine care for each individual patient. I have referred him to friends and he has helped them tremendously as well. If you're looking for a doctor who Will tell you like it is and give you the personal attention that you deserve, you need to see him. My nine-year-old son is very happy that I'm not laid up for two months. We are playing and going places. I am very pleased with Dr Ortiz and the progress I am seeing with my procedure. He is professional and certainly an expert at what he does. Your safety and health are of utmost concern to Dr Ortiz. He is also a Veteran and that is important to me. Dr Ortiz will explain everything and you will have the ability to contact him directly. Dr Ortiz's office is a small one, so don't expect a big operation.

Very rude. I purchased a groupon for services, was unable to get a call back forever, then called them - and eventually got very rude gentlemen. Confirmed that I had reached the medspa - but was rude and unprofessional. Luckily got a refund from groupon. Yuck

To the person who left this review I would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. As the owner of the facility I have a number of private contractors who sublet space in my office. I have never run a groupon or other "deal" or "group" special in my practice. The groupon you referred to was run by a contractor who never let me know they were running the groupon and they used my business name. That person was not in the office for long but apparently never cancelled their groupon. Unfortunately, the contractors are NOT employees and thus I have no knowledge when something like this happens. No one should have ever been rude to you on the phone or otherwise. i do not tolerate that from anyone in the office including contractors. Had you contacted me by phone or email I would have remedied that immediately. Be well.
