We love our silkies and goat we purchased from Debbie. Emily Rose, aka Oreo, our goat is the sweetest little companion my children could ever have wished for. We also purchased 4 silkie chics with no prior experience raising chickens and with the help given by Debbie with her lifetime support, we quickly caught on to raising them successfully and we are so happy with our decision to bring chickens into our family. They provide hours of fun in watching them play around our backyard. Their feathers are so cute! They look like furry little chickens running around with such friendly, docile personalities. I'm hoping to purchase a dog next from Debbie because the quality of her animals are superior than any other breeder we've researched. I highly recommend purchasing your animals through Amber Waves / Debbie.

I am a first time silkie chicken owner thanks to Amber Waves. I got 3 silkie chicks back in September from them and they are my favorite pets I've ever had! Debbie, from amber waves, is so sweet and I've even emailed her a few questions after I got my chicks and she was so helpful and replied so quickly! I appreciate her help so much and my chickens are just the absolute best! If I ever get more silkies in the future I will 100% not purchase them from any one else other than Amber Waves. Thank you for my 3 girls! I love them so much!

I originally purchased 2 bearded female silkies and couldn't wait so I purchased 2 more. Debbie is prompt and thorough at communicating regarding any of my needs via email or text. The chicks are usually sold when they are 4 weeks old due to sexed DNA testing. I appreciate receiving the chicks a little bit later on because they are healthy and strong and you don't have to worry much about day old chick issues such as wry neck or spraddle leg . Jim and Debbie are true veterans and are cautious about biosecurity practices and maintaining the health of their flock . I will continue to purchase from Amber Waves , even if it's an hour commute each time :-)

My husband found Amber Waves after we decided to get two Pygmy goats as therapy pets for my bedridden, terminally-ill mother in 2015. My parents and I had experience raising/breeding/showing Pygmy goats when I was in 4H in the 1980's, so we were already familiar with caring for goats. My mom was thrilled about the idea, and her whole spirit lit up whenever we talked about the goats! We were put on Debbie's waiting list and unfortunately my mom passed away just three weeks before our does were born. We absolutely LOVE our twin does, who are now two-and-a-half years old. They are the lights of my life. Debbie is amazing and a wealth of knowledge and absolutely cares about these sweet animals.
We appreciated Debbie working with us, and how she accommodated our request for two doelings; one carmel and one light grey agouti. We were lucky to have been blessed with twins, and we brought them home and bottle fed them, and even now they think I'm their mama...they follow me everywhere and I even potty-trained them, so they know to "go" before we get in the car or enter a building. Yes, the babies are so fun and just too cute, but please continue to love and adore them when they outgrow that phase! They live almost 13 years and won't always be spring-loaded and jumping all over you and teeny tiny adorable; they grow to 65-ish pounds and you'll need to have at least two, so make sure you are fully committed to their long-term care and happiness before you decide to own goats. They all have such different personalities, and everything they do is hilarious. Debbie can help you while you are researching and deciding if goats are a good match for you. These does bring so much joy to our unconventional little family (pets, yes...but they are absolutely our "kids")! Everything they do makes me laugh.
Thank you, Debbie and Amber Waves, for providing us with the very best quality goats. They're happy, healthy, and the best "kids" for my husband and me. After losing both of my parents (within eight months of each other) in 2015, they have been my anxiety therapy. Just spending time with them and scratching them, feeding, cleaning up after them...it is all rewarding and very theraputic. They love to lie at my feet, chew their cud and take naps. I have also contacted Debbie a few times since our purchase and she is always responsive and genuinely cares about the animals, and wants to share her knowledge so we can give these sweet goats the very best possible lives. I'm also grateful to see the Hosley's maintain and strive to meet the NPGA (National Pygmy Goat Association) standards and that they provide registered goats. Buying registered goats from a trusting breeder such as Amber Waves is absolutely worth the investment. You'll end up with better quality animals and quality of life with your goats. Goats are more delicate than people realize, and can get sick or have other costly or devastating health problems very easily, and it gives me so much peace of mind to just know that their health and disease-control is a huge priority (goats are wormed and tested for CAE/CL/Johns annually[?] and babies are given shots when they're born). This is so important and you won't get any of this if you buy a $100 goat from a backyard herd through Craigslist. You get what you pay for...quality animals and peace of mind at a very reasonable price from Amber Waves.
I highly recommend Amber Waves and would absolutely buy goats from them again. The Hosleys are a true blessing. Thank you, Amber Waves!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Arica H.Corona, CA1565Apr 3, 2018
I have bought many chicks from Amber Waves. They are so helpful and knowledgeable about their chickens. I love to go see their other animals as well while I am looking at the chicks. I have also bought female sexed chickens a little older than chicks. The chickens are so friendly and we absolutely love having them. I recommend Amber Waves to everyone. The picture is of a girl I bought from them late last year. She's beautiful!

I always say you can tell a lot about the cleanliness of a place by the smell. I went to pick up my silkie yesterday, and let me tell you that my chick smelled wonderful, absolutely clean, happy, and so cuddly and sweet. If you're going to get a Silkie, this is the place to go! Absolutely wonderful! They put a lot of hard work into their animals and it truly shows. Thank you for sending me home with some pamphlets, chicken feed, and a gorgeous little bird. Definitely coming back here for future silkie purchases!!!

We've been to Amber waves twice and it has been such a great experience! Jim and Debbie are so kind and welcome you with open arms. We are new to having animals, Jim took us around the whole farm and educated us on the beautiful animals. Today we purchased our first batch of Silkies and soon will be purchasing a pair of cute little pygmy goats. It's been a great experience! My three children leave Amber waves with such amazement and respect for animals. Thanks Amber waves!

We have being doing business with Jim and Debbie for about 10 years. We bred some of our Pygmy does to their bucks. We have purchased one of their Great Pyrenees puppies, which was on of the best decisions we made. She is an amazing therapy dog and a pet dog. Jim and Debbie are very knowledgeable and friendly. I love going to their place and see all of their animals.

I found Amber Waves when I was looking for a dog to add to our family. Debbie was so helpful in answering all my questions about the breed as well as sending extra photos. Our great Pyrénées puppy Teddi has already brought us so much joy. She is following basic commands at only 8 weeks old and after working with her for only a few days. She can come sit stay heel and lay down. She has the best temperament and personality and just goes with the flow. We've already had her vet checked and is a perfectly healthy little girl. We couldn't be happier with our whole experience at Amber waves and with Debbie and Jim. Thank you for our new baby.
