AMC Painting

This is an excellent company! They did a beautiful job painting the exterior of our house. They also did the job quickly. They were also very polite and respectful. I highly recommend this company!

We recently had our home painted by AMC Painting and now wish we had not. It started out well but then several issues arose. When we informed AMC Painting of the issues, they made excuses and stated that is not usually included when they paint a home. Below are issues that others may find concerning and / or it will give you items you would want to make sure are covered before you sign with them. Anything you are told, make sure it is in writing as later what they say may change.

We received a quote from Ryan, the salesman, who said he would also be the Project Manager of the painting job if we went with AMC. Ryan seemed trustworthy and after comparing them with others, we chose to go with AMC. We were told the job would take 3 1/2 days as we were also having our fence stained. As they started the painting things changed as the supervisor, David, began to say certain things were not normally included and he seemed to want to speed the job up considerably. In fact, they finished in a little less than two full days which was for both the house exterior painting and fence staining. They left stain on a portion of our sidewalk to the back, paint over approximately 10' x 8' area of the roof, left tape on areas of two 2nd story windows. They did not paint the approximate 4" sides of the garage door (the portion that goes up against the trim / rubber strips when closed. As the door opened you could clearly see the difference in colors. They also popped four screens out of their frames.

When we brought these concerns to AMC they finally allowed us to talk to the painter David, who did not seem happy with our concerns but finally agreed to come by and address them the day after we spoke. Six days later we finally received a call from him. They came by the next day. When they arrived he immediately began to attempt to minimize the issues by saying they normally do not paint that portion of the garage door but after we objected saying Ryan and he had said they would paint those areas, he relented. He became visibly upset and did paint the rest of the garage door. He addressed the stains on the sidewalk by having one of his crew use a wire brush which just left metal discoloration. They did remove the tape on our 2nd story windows and painted and caulked a couple areas they missed. David appeared to be in a rush to finish and even made a comment on this needing to be rushed but never explained why. After they were through they left without any comment.

Although they said there is an extended labor warranty on the painting work they completed, we now worry what type of response we would get from AMC should we have an issue during the warranty period. In addition we were told by Ryan we would get a signed copy of AMC's warranty but none was provided even when we went to the office to pay. We had to call and was told they do not normally fill out and sign a warranty form unless the customer requests the warranty form. We did not understand why it was not provided but did request it again and they did send one to us.

Also when we emailed Ryan (supposed project manager) he never responded to our continuing concerns. Ryan had said when we signed with AMC that he would be overseeing the painting of our house. We saw Ryan at the beginning of the first day of painting for less than 10 minutes. After that Ryan never came back out even after being told of the issues.

Our hope in posting this review is to help others prevent these types of issues from happening to them should they go with AMC.

Pleased with the work quality, time, and communication. Ryan was great at giving me time tables on when work would start or if there were issues (like rain) to where they couldn't start.

They will be my go to painting company here on out.

This has to be about the best paint job we have had yet. Nic was on time with estimate. Even came back when I was trying to figure out accent wall flow for an open floor plan.
Painters on time, pleasant, efficient, and open to repainting areas that needed a wee bit more paint.
I see why they are highly rated! I am extremely satisfied!

We are pleased with the job that AMC did. AMC painted the exterior and repaired trim on our 30-year-old home. We love our "new home". Everything from making the appointment for an estimate to paying the invoice was a breeze. Tessa was on top of answering emails with any questions we had. She took the time to help us with everything from planning the color to making sure all the repairs were done right. The crew that showed up were on time, professional and thorough. They finished prepping, repairing trim and painting the entire house in less than 2 days at a very reasonable price. They made sure to clean the site after each day. I highly recommend AMC.

From start to finish everyone at AMC Paint was professional and friendly . Jason came to quote a price that was very reasonable . The crew finished the job sooner than was quoted. They were very respectful and did a fantastic job. Jason made sure that I was satisfied with the work . Great company and quality work. I will definitely use AMC Paint again. I highly recommend them. Do not hesitate to hire AMC paint ! My house feels so light and airy now !

Can't say enought good things about AMC Painting. They did a tremendous job for a more than reasonable price. They are real pros. I highly recommend them.

I would not recommend this company under any circumstances. They repainted a rental home for me. Both interior and exterior work. The color was correct and it was completed in a timely manner. That is all I can say that is positive. Nik took me through the house very quickly and since the color was right and everything was covered, I did not notice the drywall problems that were repaired. Some were really bad, but I only noticed them after I came back later. When I had my repair professional approach them about standing behind their work they said that they would not do anything since I approved the job in the walkthrough. I understand that I was able to review their work, but I did not understand that I was going to need to police them in order to be treated fairly. The problems were really obvious when you look for them. Do not use this company. They are the cheapest bid for a reason.

We highly recommend AMC!! JJ and his team were very professional and thorough. They made sure it was exactly what we wanted and that we were happy with the results. The turn around time on painting the whole interior of our home was very quick but done well!

These guys did a great job on our living rm, kitchen & 2 bedrooms. One room had a very dark ceiling that we wanted white & they made it happen. Very neat workers, super professional and did it all in about 1 1/2 days. Amazing.
