I am updating my review since I have heard back from the company and I received a breakdown of my invoice. The dryer vent swap out is still in the air, but I have been in contact with the lead tech regarding this.
This updated review will reflect the work performed by the crew that came out to do the work.
As I stated in my last review, 3 services were completed including power washing, gutter guard replacement, and anti-pest dryer vent guard.
All three services were completed the same day with exceptional results, especially the power washing. I've even been complimented by a few of my neighbors on how good it looks.
I was shown pictures of the gutter guards and so far they have been doing their job. If I hadn't fixed this ASAP, I could have had flooding in my basement due to water damage in the foundation.
The dryer vent is way better than the standard vent that is installed normally on houses. I definitely know I will not have birds making nests come Spring time.
Overall, this company does great work. I was satisfied with the results and I would recommend them. The only thing that turned me off was not receiving a breakdown of the invoice and getting someone to return to follow up on a task.
I've since learned that the company is shorthanded and scheduling can be tight. But if that is the case, let the customers know this up front and work with them to finish the task.
But don't let this be a spoiler in not hiring this company to do the work. As I said I was overall satisfied with the work that was done. My situation may not affect some people, but I can be anal at times and if I'm paying good money for services to be completed, I expect the work to be followed up all the way through.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 3, 2023Previous reviewI want to give this company 1 star based on business ethics, but the work performed was very good. I'm giving them a 2 star rating because of their business ethics/practices. There are other reviews on here that says that they do not get back to you if they need to come back to complete the work. Luckily all of the work I had done was completed with the exception of swapping out a dryer vent on the side of my house. I've also read several reviews where the customer did not receive an invoice with photos as promised. This is the same in my case. Hence why I am giving them 2 stars.
I had 3 services performed all at once in one day. The scheduling went well without any issues, which I'm surprised after reading some of the scheduling in the reviews. Of course they wanted half of the money up front to secure the service and purchaser the materials. And I got the military/government discount pitch as well. I did receive an invoice, however, without photos as promised. And nothing on the invoice is itemized with the cost. So I'm not really sure what "discount" I got. I know I overpaid, but at that point I was like just get everything done at once and be finished with it.
The work was done on Saturday June 24. The services i got were power washing, install foam gutter guards, and replace the dryer vent with an anti-pent guard. The power washing came out great and the install for the gutter guards well also. I was shown pictures and videos of all of the work completed as well as being told they would be emailed to me along with the invoice and warranty for the gutter guards. Nope. That didn't happen and to this day I still have no pics/invoice breakdown. The dryer vent that was installed was round. The tech that installed it really didn't like it so he said he would look into ordering a square one.
I emailed the lead tech on Thursday June 29 asking if the dryer vent will be swapped out and I haven't received an email/pics for the work that was done. I was texted back that it will be taken care of ASAP no later than early the next morning and the rescheduling of swapping out the vent will also be done. Nope. That didn't happen.
I got a text on July 1 from lead tech saying that the invoice was not sent but a close out payment invoice was sent. He also could schedule the vent swap out for next Thursday morning (July 6). I agreed and was thanked for my patience.
July 3 text came in saying that they will not receive the vent cover until between July 7-12. I was told they even paid for extra shipping. I said that's fine and will the invoice be sent after that. He said no, he will leet Miss Arnold know if she can get it to me sooner than later. I also made sure that the invoice will be itemized with the cost of each service. "Sure" was the reply. Nope. That didn't happen.
I received a voicemail from Rose saying that the new dryer vent was in and to call to reschedule for install. When I called back, no answer. I got a text saying that she was with another customer and would call right back. No call back, but a text asking if Wednesday July 12 would be a good date. I agreed that was good and asked again for a detailed invoice with pictures that was supposed to be sent after the work was completed. "No problem." was the answer back. Nope. That didn't happen. And nobody showed up that Wednesday July 12.
I texted the lead tech that same day (July 12) saying that Rose texted me and asked if Wednesday July 12 was good to reschedule to swap the vent out. i told him nobody showed up that morning is there a reason why? "I will check" was the text back.
I received a text on Saturday July 15 saying that Mike has been out all week so they are trying for Monday (July 17) to come out and install the vent. AND after the install I would be sent a breakdown on the receipt. I was told Sorry it took so long. I replied Ok. Thanks. Nope. That didn't happen. Nor did anyone show up on July 17.
It is now August 3 and i haven't heard from anyone from that company since the July 15 text. At this point, I may as well take it as this job is complete and no one is coming back. The current vent is working like its supposed to, but if you aren't sure about it, then it should have been swapped out. Especially if you reordered another one to swap out. Lewis and his team are experienced professionals. They were prompt, personable and straightforward. Lewis and his team took time to explain their assessment and recommendations to me. Answered all the questions I had in thorough and clear ways. And helped me to stay within my budget, prioritize repairs and future maintenance. Wish these guys offered a subscription service. Very highly recommended..!!

Had my dryer vent cleaned today. The 2 gentlemen that showed up to clean the vent were professional and very courteous. It was a pleasure to have them in our home they did a top notch job. Thanks again for hiring such nice guys!

On March 24, 2020 was the appointment date set when I contracted this company for $199 plus government discount for air duct cleaning with unlimited vents. I spoke with a representative that told me it was $199 for unlimited thermostats and vents. He claimed his manager would personally come, fully suit up, clean and disinfect the units and clean the air ducts. The manager, Lewis and helper Derrick showed up.
Once we refused to pay $800 for this job, they refused to give me their last name. We believe that it is not legal for any contractor to work in our home that refuse to provide identification. We also believe this is a violation for a licensed contractor. It is a scam. Once they looked at the units, they claimed it would cost $800. The said it is over $200 per unit for 3 units and that does not include cleaning and disinfecting. They refused to clean it. They refused to provide any service for any of one of the three units for the contracted price.
The $199 is a scam to get them in your door. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. FALSE ADVERTISING, LIARS AND SCAMMERS. I am reporting them to DPOR.
Below is the service I was told I would receive for $199 - but when they came I was told it would be $800; when I refused to pay $800 and asked what would I receive for the advertised and contracted price I was told they refused to do anything for that cost!
Air Duct Cleaning there are no disclaimers on their site that says they may refuse service based on any of the following conditions they may find. American shady sweep is more like it. They came out, hacked into my internet without telling me what they were doing, told me I needed a chimney repair without ever getting their lazy butts on a ladder to even look at the area they said needed repairs, took my $200 deposit then never showed up to do the work. Took me over two weeks of phone calls, emails, complaints to the BBB, and finally demanding everything in writing before they finally sent my deposit back. When they did, they sent it western union, again without telling me, so I had to hunt down a western union location to get my money. I asked them to confirm in writing that the refund was for the deposit related to the service agreement that was not fulfilled due to their failure to appear for the appointment, again no response. Hell, they have a C rating with the BBB because they won't even respond to them, why would they respond to their customers. Turns out, they totally misdiagnosed the problem with my chimney in the first place because they were too lazy to get up there and actually look, so even if they would have shown up, they likely would have presented me with some outrageous quote to fix the actual problem. Other companies that do the same chimney sweep and inspection service are about $100 bucks cheaper and actually show up with a ladder.

We couldn't be happier with the service provided today by Derek and Devonne. They arrived earlier than expected, did a thorough job cleaning our gutters and downspouts. Our downspouts were clogged so they spent extra time unclogging them. They pointed out repairs that need to be done on our gutters in order for them to drain properly. They were professional and hard working. And we felt it was an excellent value. We cannot recommend them enough.

Booked an appointment and waited a week for it. Took off work to keep appointment. Waited all day for them. Didn't show. No call, no email, left message and they couldn't be bothered to call back. Awful company. Don't waste your precious time on them. They certainly don't care about business ethic or customer service.

I give only one star because there were so many issues with this company.
1. The air duct suction pipe got exploded during the cleaning.
2. Technician cleaned air duct by himself. We had appointment for only AC ventilation cleaning. So he charged us extra for this extra service.
3. Call center lady promised us that we will have before/after pictures, but our technician told us he wasn't notified before and didn't take the pics.
4. We have two appointment cancelations.
5. The last appointment they promised us to come and take the pictures and proof the job is done well, they didn't show up.
6. Technician was two hours late. So our Saturday plans were all ruined, because we had to sit home and wait for him to finish.
7. All my phone calls and left voicemails are just ignored. I believe my phone number is just on their block list now....Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
