Barstools & Dinettes

This review is based on my shopping experience. With the current environment order lead time for custom items is 3-4 months so the quality of the items will be reviewed another time. This business had been around 30+ years and they specialize in kitchen and dining room tables, chairs, and bar stools. My first visit was on a Saturday. The store was busy and I received good service. After a few weeks of shopping I realized I needed to spend more money to get what I wanted. So with a price point more than doubled my original I visited on a Friday. This must be the magic day as my service was exceptional! Bill one of the owners spent an hour with me explaining the pros and cons of items on the floor. In the end I purchased a glass table on a metal frame where I selected the metal color and the cushioned chairs matched the metal selected. This set is made by a Canadian firm to order so it may be a few months till it arrives. The service was significantly better than that of the major furniture stores in town.

Although this store has a great selection, I was shocked to see two sales associates not wearing masks. Not even pulled under their nose/chin, literally no mask at all. After spending only a few minutes here, I decided I'd rather spend my money where the mask mandate is followed and the health and safety of customers is at the forefront, rather than the personal opinions of sales associates here.

This place had the table/style I was looking for so it didn't bother me I had to wait a month for the table to come in, but within a month the table finish started coming off. I called and they said it was my fault for getting it wet and they would not do anything to help me. Yes apparently a table should not get wet with water so you shouldn't eat, drink, or clean it. Let me specify this is a kitchen table and sold as a kitchen table (not a decorative table). Horrible customer service and quality...unless you want a table you can use as a table of course.

Great selection & friendly service. We had two barstools customized to EXACTLY what we wanted and are thrilled with the counter stools. This family owned business does great work. Thank you.

There's a whole streak of home furnishing stores on either side of Glenwood/70 West, between Crabtree and Brier Creek. It's a pretty handy area to visit for anything you need, house-wise. One of the more helpful spots is Barstools and Dinettes. It's a nifty store, because they are exactly what they say they are - a place where you can look at row upon row of stools, and a room full of dinette sets until you find the one that compliments your home. I can't imagine where you'd find a broader selection.

To start the guy with the grey beard who works there is about as personal as a greasy spoon and their prices are too high especially with all the furniture store options that NC has to offer.

They do have a large selection of overpriced goods so it is a good place to go and get ideas. However supporting this store based on sales support (minimal - so no need for premium pricing) is not something I am going to do.

This place really cares about helping you get what you want. If you care about quality and about how & where your furniture is manufactured, be sure to look here. Do what I did, and bring your designer with you. The options are absolutely amazing. The showroom may not wow you, but there is very GOOD stuff here. Won't matter to you if you can't recognize quality (and what is not that you'll find elsewhere). Can't believe how standards for quality furniture have fallen over the years. This place has multiple options for furniture manufactured with attention to quality in North America.
