During my first visit to the Berkeley Eye Center in Katy, I encountered an excessively crowded waiting area, indicating a busy day. Despite scheduling my appointment over a month in advance, I endured over an hour of waiting only to be informed that I needed to reschedule due to a missing part in a malfunctioning machine - a detail they were aware of before my arrival. It would have been preferable if they had offered me the option to reschedule upon my arrival, saving me time in the overcrowded waiting area. This experience was deeply disappointing, and I cannot conscientiously recommend this location.

My 83 year old mother who has glaucoma is a patient at Berkeley and has had cataract surgery. She's very pleased with the doctors, but the staff and nurses are another story. As of today, mom has been waiting one week for a refill on her glaucoma medication. She called and left multiple messages for a week and the nurse finally called her back and said a refill would be called in. They didn't call the pharmacy and here we are again, trying to call. You can have the best doctor in the world but if their staff is incompetent you won't get good care. This is a pattern. On another occasion I had to drive over there to leave a message after not receiving a call back for days. You don't ever get a live person when you call. My mother continues to wait to get her medication which prevents her from going blind. That's horrific care in my opinion.

I requested an appointment for cataract evaluation. Left a message as requested when I called. Received a call later that day, it was a very bad call and could not understand the person calling, I let her know and asked if there was a number I could call. She simply hung up. I was not contacted for my appointment or anything. Very bad customer service.

I had eye surgery scheduled and they did not call to give me my out of pocket cost until 5 days before surgery. They never tried to call my husband, whose number was down as the payment person. We called back as soon as we got the message (early the next day) and they'd canceled my appointment.
They lied saying they called when they hadn't. I have call logs. They would not admit it and continued lying saying I didn't give an alternate number. Since I'm unavailable during the day I always tell them call my husband.
Dr Doe seems nice and was going to make it to where I could see again. I am 43 and losing vision rapidly.
I'm disappointed as Dr. Doe was recommended to me by several people. We are filing a complaint, though, as their clerical practices are questionable at best.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I always feel like I'm receiving the best care for my eyes, my only frustration is how backed up their appointments are as my doctor tells me when he wants to see me back and when I checkout the availability isn't until a month or two after he wants to see me. I've had to contact the office manager to find a spot for me, I'm not sure why they can't do the same thing at checkout, but other than that I'm very happy with them.
