Berkeley Eye Center - The Woodlands

The first time I attempted to make an appointment, I was put on hold for seven minutes. I hung up and called back because I was tired of being on hold. The same person answered the phone again. Her name was Raquel and she was very snotty. I wasn't in the mood to deal with someone's bad attitude, so I simply told her to have a nice day.

I called back a few weeks later and no one was available to answer the phone. I waited five minutes on hold, and then Jenny answered the phone. She was absolutely lovely and polite. I appreciated that, and I told her so. Perhaps Jenny could give Raquel a few lessons on how to treat people.

But I decided to find another place to get an eye exam. And that's a pity because Berkeley is extremely convenient for me. I was so ready to get my eye exam out of the way. Oh well.

Receptionist was extremely rude, gave a lot of attitude. I asked her to confirm the address to their office. She tells me I am calling the wrong office, said I needed to call the memorial office because that's where I was last seen. How did she get all of that information without me even saying a word about myself, called id??? I told her, I am scheduled for a lasik consultation this afternoon in the woodlands, not memorial. She refused to give it to me and asked me what address I had, then she said, that's it and hung up. :( I didn't need to hear all that information, all I needed was to verify their address so that I arrive on time for for my appointment because I have never been to that location. I will make sure to schedule my lasik surgery at the katy office. I know for a fact, the receptionists are not rude over there.

I had the PRK procedure done a week ago at Berkeley Eye Center in the Woodlands. Throughout the whole process the Doctors and staff were amazing! Cindy was fantastic in working with my schedule and getting me in before school started again. The procedure was thoroughly explained, as well as what to expect after the procedure. The Doctors were super patient with me as I asked a million questions and asked them again during my post-op and follow up appointments! I am healing beautifully and cannot wait to experience the final result!

Berkeley Eye Center has been a great provider for over 20 years. My entire family uses them. Kids had lacik and husband had lens replacement surgery. Me just contacts. Very prompt and professional. I will use them for a long time!

I have checked into LASIK three times with three different providers and Berkeley was the first one that didn't make me feel like I was being taken for a ride.

They an excellent job with my first visit, explaining the process and the pricing, quickly and efficiently.

The rest of the process was thorough and efficient they never wasted a minute of my time.

The procedure was amazingly easy and even pleasant. Our arrival time was 9:45 and I was back at home, in bed taking a nap before 11:30, and we live 50 miles away!

The follow up appointments were a breeze, and what is more important is that I now have 20/15 vision without my contacts.

I have been trying to schedule an appointment all day. I submitted an online form. I tried calling. My last call I decided to just leave my cell on speaker phone and wait until they answered the phone. 18 minutes later someone answered and hung up the phone.

This is a great technique to cut down on the receptionist task. My call was to the woodlands location at 281-363-3443 on 1/6/20. I will be logging onto my insurance provider to see what other eye care providers my insurance covers. Answering the phones is a basic skill. If they cant get the basic office staff task done, I'm not comfortable trusting them with my eyes. I called several times before choosing to leave this review. I hardly ever leave bad reviews.

I just had my LASIK surgery last Friday, and boy, am I happy! Cindy and Dr. McCauley were very thorough with explaining everything to expect from the procedure and afterwards as well. I know alot of people that have gotten their LASIK and the unanimous complaint is that they wish they had done it sooner. And yes, I can't agree with them more. I'm 3 days out from my operation and now have 20/20 vision. I still have the habit of looking for my glasses before I jump into the car to realize, oh yeah, don't need those babies anymore. I could've gone elsewhere that was cheaper, but lets face it, I only have 1 set of eyes and Berkeley has been around for ages. There are some things you shouldn't be cheap on. My wife used me as a guinea pig first, but we'll be returning to Berkeley within the year to get hers done as well. Great job Berkeley and thank you for the life changing procedure!

Nearly impossible to get an appointment. Called 4 times in a month and couldn't get through to them. Left 2 voicemails and still no one called me back. By the time I got to talk to someone, there are no more appointments to reschedule for 2 months. The most frustrating customer service.
